Hi! I'm Miss Dana. I have my BA in communications and my MFA in creative writing. I've been teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) and ELA (English Language Arts) for about six years. I love teaching writing (essays/speeches/stories), reading comprehension and analysis, grammar, phonics, and English conversation.

I believe all students can discover a love of reading and writing if they're given a nurturing environment to grow in. I take a tailored approach to teaching, incorporating each student's individual interests, strengths, and areas for improvement.

Come and join Mr. Andrew's READING CLUB!

This class is for elementary-aged students who already have an excellent level of English. The core material is a novel which we read together. Each students gets at least one chance per lesson to read aloud for the class from the book. We also learn to sing one song per week and read one poem per week which is related to the story. Our current story is Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo and we just finished Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Classes are daily (Monday to Friday, 40 min) and there are 2 time slots due to popular demand (choose one).
