Experience / Qualifications
• I have experience in academic translation involving scholarly texts in philosophy of science, probability theory, logic, and applied mathematics. My work includes translating and revising theoretical and historical academic materials (e.g., foundational texts, methodological discussions, and technical passages) from German and English into Italian, with particular attention to terminological accuracy, historical context, and formal rigor. I have also supported academic authors and reviewers by refining translated manuscripts to ensure conceptual clarity and consistency with disciplinary conventions.
• I have experience in non-academic translation across a range of professional contexts, including institutional correspondence, technical documentation, reports, application materials, and informational content. I have translated and revised texts for freelance clients and organizations in Italian, English, French, and German, ensuring clarity, register appropriateness, and audience adaptation. My work often involves restructuring source texts to improve coherence and usability while preserving original meaning.

The course is centered on Systems Theory and Elinor Ostrom's Situational Action Theory. The purpose is to inform pupils of the work of Niklas Luhmann, the XX-century German sociologist of law, who has written a new perspective on relationships among social actors and the surrounding environment. The course is furthered through the brilliant asset constituted by Ostrom's theory, demonstrating that everyday life and RWG (real-world games) have the chance to show reality as they are interwoven with cognition and behavioral decision-making. We will explore the fundamentals of probability laws together, with a cut on unprepared responses to unexpected events.
