About Me

I’m an earnest nerd from Australia currently pursuing an MScR in Philosophy, specialling in the ethical consequences of AI being involved in IVF procedures.

During my time as a tutor for the Contemporary Coaching College, I specialised in working with students aged 15–18, particularly those who struggled to connect with humanities subjects such as literature, economics, history, and studies of religion. My approach centred on making these disciplines accessible and engaging by linking them to my students’ pre-existing interests. Witnessing their growing enthusiasm and confidence was deeply rewarding. As a teacher who has helped hundreds of students since 2013, I taught at both the middle and high school levels and am familiar with the requirements of the baccalaureate exam, having been an examiner. I enjoy helping students understand what they hadn't grasped before by explaining it in a different way.

In this class, we practice conversational English by diving into the stories we love. Instead of dry grammar drilling, our focus is on natural discussion centered on books, writing, cinema, and television. I studied Philosophy and History and have spent decades working on philosophical, social, political, and technological issues.
