The building blocks of writing a novel from scratch
From 67.28 C$ /h
Everyone has a story inside of them. But how do you translate the ideas in your head into a full-length novel?
Together, we will explore the basic building blocks of writing a novel: characters, dialogue, setting, and plot.
This class caters particularly for aspiring novelists who are full of ideas but short of time. With quick, easy activities that can be squeezed into even the busiest day, I will guide you step-by-step through the often daunting process of writing a novel. Suitable for any genre and story idea, with teachings that could also be applied to scripts.
I have written novels for both children and adults, and I also privately tutor creative writing and lead group creative writing workshops. My classes are fun, informal, and - most importantly - bursting with creativity.
Feel free to also ask me about sending your novel to agents and publishers!

About Me
My love for writing started long before I studied English Literature at a British university that helped inspire Harry Potter.
For me, stories are like wardrobes or rabbit holes: a way to escape into and explore other worlds. This is why I have been writing - and escaping - since I wrote my first book aged 14. Now, I have written three full-length novels, and countless short stories and poems.
I have translated my passion for writing into a desire to share my knowledge and experiences with others. I professionally lead creative writing workshops for schools, universities, arts organizations and charities, and tutor children and teenagers online.
Full of anecdotes and advice learned over the years, my classes are interactive, accessible, and supportive. I have received so much guidance from authors, editors, and agents over the years, and now I want to help others fulfill their dream of writing a book.
Some fun facts about me: I was born in Paris, grew up in London, and now I live in the North East of England. I’m a francophile and francophone and my true loves are German Shepherds, cheese, and the smell of old books.
