In our classes, we develop your fluency and communication skills through creative activities in classic literature. This innovative educational approach results from years of research and studies on the English language & communication (BA University of London, MLitt University of Glasgow, PhD Hellenic American University). We build on our students' grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, and writing skills through fun activities based on narrative texts (according to their knowledge level). Thus our students develop the English language fast alongside exam prep if required. This online course refers to learners of all ages, from preschoolers to adults, and prepares students for all exams and learning purposes.

Extra information

The classes are online via the Zoom platform, so the learners must acquire a laptop and download Zoom on their desktops. Our philosophy is to use only English during the lesson, but we also speak Greek, French and Italian in cases where the learners need to be supported a little in these languages.

About Me

I'm an English teacher, an author, and a researcher in Language & Communication, and I have been running my own language school in Greece for the last twenty years. I've lived and taught in several places in Greece and also in Paris for twenty-eight years, both in person and online modality. Currently, I'm an online English tutor of French adults at Le Faculte de Metiers in Paris, a CLOE oral examiner in Paris, and I'm running English classes at my school. As an author, I've just completed my debut novel and have signed a publishing contract. I'm also a mother of two teenage girls. I love teaching all levels because each one is rewarding and challenging in different ways, and I take my job more as a personal bet to manage and pass down my knowledge to aspiring learners of English. Motherhood, teaching, business administration, and creative writing, all fuel me with energy and knowledge to support my students. Therefore, I guarantee the best of my effort in our classes.

Whether your goal is personal or professional, speaking is a predominantly physical activity, relying on a body, a voice, a breath, a rhythm (diction) and an emotion (the imagination and the sensations, reflecting the involvement of the speaker in his speech.

How to send a clear message? How to make the difference, to make an impression? How to regain self-confidence and control the management of his emotions?

Knowing how to speak in public is now a necessity for the company and in the company. From a personal point of view, this is a vector for better relationships and optimal messages. On the phone, in a meeting, in front of a client or a banker (...), your public speaking must be effective and efficient with clear, simple and powerful messages, creating a match between the message received and the message sent.

Simple and pragmatic tools will be presented and then put into practice for: generating listening ● making an impression ● fostering trust ● generating need ● motivating teams by explaining a strategy ● getting messages across within groups.

Controlled, the method allows:

• improve self-confidence and stress management with the development of the speaker's fluency (verbal-bodily), his public speaking and his sense of repartee and improvisation

Completed by basic exercises (diction, voice, presence, breathing, presentation, time management ...), role plays, improvisations and simulations will be set up.

The goal is not only to focus on verbal communication but also on nonverbal communication, so as to make the control of his body, his voice (...), a real and lasting strength.
