I specialise in teaching painting and drawing for beginners and intermediate. I have 6 years experience in teaching on many drawing and painting courses in many different adult education colleges. I teach at Richmond Hillcroft Community College, City Lit and Surrey Adult Learning.

I will take you through how each of the drawing mediums work, such as pencils, oil pastels and charcoal and all the pencil grades.

I will also take you through how different painting mediums works such as watercolour, gouache and acrylic works and what type of paper to use.

i will show you how to draw and painting subjects such as still life, landscapes and the human form.

Extra information

Bring a pack of pencils for the first class and a sketchbook. I will show you a list of materials to bring for the following classes.

About Me

I am a practising and working fine artist and I am interested in finding employment in your establishment with a strong specialism in Art and Design. My training and subject specialism is fine art and I possess an MA Fine Art student at City and Guilds London Art School specialising in painting. I also possess a City and Guilds 7307 Teachers Certificate. I have also just completed the Level 3 Award in Education and Training at Hillingdon Adult Learning. I also have a an BA (Hon) Fine Art Degree with a 2-1 of which I gained at The University of East London.

I will teach drawing and painting for adult students. I teach beginner level where I will go through how each drawing medium works from pencils to charcoal and also teach how each painting medium works from watercolour to oil paint.

I will show you how to capture tone and shading and how to draw a still life, landscape and eventually the human figure.

I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen.

I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist.

I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns.

In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on.

Holder of a Bachelor's degree in contemporary dance and creation of multidisciplinary performances from the Iceland University of the Arts, a Master 2 in Art Research & International Creation from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, I am an artist member of the International Dance Council at UNESCO.
Since 2020, I have been engaged in academic research on medical and spiritual dance whose practice is called Transcendental Dance (Transcendental Embodiment).

My professional experience extends internationally where I had the opportunity to work alongside various renowned companies and to organize internships in France, Iceland, Sweden, Mexico, Czech Republic, Spain, Turkey and Asia. Also, I had the opportunity to dance for haute couture houses during Fashion Week in Paris.

I am an artist and philosopher from Amsterdam currently living in Antwerp. I studied in London where I acquired a BA from Art Academy London and a BA in philosophy from St Mary's University London.

Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don’t always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you!

Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs.

The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language.

(Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity. Let it be the starting point, venture out and discover it from various angles and ways of expressing it. But also be mindful that as we grow our interests can change and as they change, we must remain honest and respond accordingly such that our artistic language can also grow.)
