Hello! I am an artist who graduated from the Royal College of Art with a Master's degree in painting program. I also finished my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2020. This painting and drawing class is designed for individuals at any skill level who wish to improve their painting and drawing techniques and expand their knowledge. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn the fundamentals or an experienced artist seeking to refine your skills, this class offers guidance and support to help you develop your artistic abilities.
You will learn a variety of painting and drawing techniques to time in a relaxed and interesting learning experience.
If you are an absolute beginner, don't worry, my class will start with mixing beautiful colors and interesting drawing collages.

About Me

I am a Chinese artist, currently based in Rotterdam. I have a rich overseas education background in London and Chicago. I am also proficient in various art mediums, such as oil painting, ink painting, charcoal and pencil drawing. I have a rich understanding of art history and extensive experience in contemporary art practice. I would love to teach the technique and share art knowledge to the students who enjoy to explore the infinity of art and beauty of the art.

I provide teaching in traditional sketching, drawing, painting as well as applied arts and graphic arts like printing or illustration.

Through a custom-made program, learn how to draw and paint, create illustrations and artworks or learn how to improve your creative and artistic process!
With me, you or your children will learn how to find your own style and tools. Get to experiment with different styles – be it realistic, figurative or abstract! – and OR choose to focus on subject and method.

Among the techniques and skills you will be able to learn, there is :
painting (acrylic, oil), watercolours, sketching, drawing (pencil, brushes), illustration, colour theory, collage, mixed medias, linocut engraving and printmaking, book making, clay, stencil, lettering...

Traditional drawing and painting include knowledges such as : light, shape, line, colour theory, space, composition. You will get to learn through copy of master works and real life observation (still life, landscape, portrait).

A programme of various activities for children and teens is available, focusing on the development of their curiosity, creativity and interpersonal skills. I will work with them on topics that they are interested in while developing a sympathetic, ethical and open-minded approach. They will learn how to see the world differently by using different techniques, materials, recycling elements or going from 2D to 3D works by using sculpture or installation.

For advanced students, I also provide counseling on creative thinking, artistic process and techniques. You will learn how and where to find inspiration, create better artworks through process, art history, composition, rythm, colour theory or experiment.

All programs will be custom-made, adapting techniques, level and themes to the pupil(s). Children can be taught in small groups.

Drawing is a combination of freeing your mind, testing you determination and finding your own way of expression. Most importantly everybody can learn it. Of course you need to start from the basics if you want to understand it so this is a course in which I will teach you about composition, light, depth, colors and sketching and continue on with what you want to learn more about it.

This class is an opportunity to begin to build an art portfolio, or to improve your portfolio and/or applications for art schools/universities.

My goal is to help students who are interested in improving artistic skills and/or to mentor students who are looking to get into an art program.

Depending on your needs, you'll learn a variety of techniques and skills from drawing basics, paintings, photography, color theory to portfolio building/strengthening, developing titles, captions and descriptions for your work, reviewing different applications for art universities or other opportunities, and more.

All levels of art experience are welcome!

Contrary to popular belief, realistic drawing will never be outdated, not because of some strange fixation in academic art, but because of its usefulness in a huge variety of tasks that are or are not related to the art field. To me, more than anything, realistic drawing offers an explanation of the world that is somehow shoothing and fulfilling.

A Romanian born artist, who finished architecture high school and now studies Spatial Design at the Willem de Kooning Art Academy in Rotterdam. I offer these art classes for anyone who is passionate about art and learning the techniques of creating art. In the classes you will learn how to draw composition of objects, painting, perspective, interior design, but also multimedia.

My classes are suitable for anyone who has interest in learning drawing or just simply practice it and get better in it.
I obtained my bachelor degree from Royal Academy of Art in The Hague (2023) and before I studied graphic design and printmaking.

First lesson, I ask you about what would you like to achieve with our classes and plan our lessons accordingly. Whether you would like to learn anatomy, figurative drawing, shading, drawing portraits or you would like to develop your personal handwriting or you would just simply like to practice drawing with professional guidance, I always tailor lessons according to your needs and possibilities.

You will learn techniques for acrylic painting, color blending, basic of drawing mandalas. For children from age 4 to 6 it will be more introduction to colors and being familiar with different painting and drawing tools. It is also possible for older children for having this introduction.

Art Courses are a playful, hands-on after-school art workshop for children ages 7 and up (and curious teens or adults too!), where creativity, self-expression, and teamwork come together. In small groups, participants explore painting, drawing, sketching, and crafting with a wide variety of materials—like acrylics, pastels, pencils, collage, and mixed media. Each session offers something new: from experimenting with techniques to working together on imaginative projects that encourage collaboration and confidence. The workshops are based in Rotterdam, but I’m also available to travel to Den Haag and Delft, depending on interest. Classes can be held at you own personal space, making it flexible and accessible. For those who want to continue their creative journey, there’s an optional subscription that includes regular sessions and access to special themed workshops. No experience needed—just a love for making and exploring!

I teach digital painting with a focus on clarity, structure, and outcome. You’ll learn how to control digital brushes, build convincing lighting, use color intentionally, and create textures that add depth. We’ll move from the basics of composition to the challenges of designing characters, surreal environments, and expressive scenes.

By the end, you’ll produce portfolio-ready artworks and understand a professional workflow from sketch to finish. Each session combines hands-on exercises with discussion of artistic choices, so you strengthen both technical skill and creative judgment.

This course is for beginners and intermediate artists who want to go beyond tutorials and actually build a body of polished, original work.
