About Me

I am a bilingual speaker of English and Mandarin Chinese, and I am a foreign language learner of multiple other languages including German and Japanese. As a private tutor teaching Chinese language for 6 years, I have a good understanding of the struggles of a language learner in the process of acquiring a foreign language. With experiences of living in multiple countries, I am sensitive to cultural differences and the impact of local culture on language learning. Dear all,

I am located near Geneva, Switzerland and I offer Chinese and Math lessons. Since 2016, I have been providing tutoring services to school students and adults on a weekly basis. I have over 4 years of experience teaching math to international students, ranging from primary school to high school, using English as the medium of instruction. In addition, I have also been tutoring Chinese to both adults and children at TheLanguageCenter in Ferney Voltaire.

Thanks to my major and experiences, I have taught Chinese and English in a private coaching form for more than 3 years. I have also obtained a Putonghua proficiency certificate (Level 2-A), and two master’s degrees in Education from both VUB in Belgium and Tongji university in China.
As for the teaching method, basically, I follow the ADDIE model in the teaching process which are Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. However, no pressure on that! I believe that methods are just tools for the student to understand better and reach learning objectives. I fully respect students’ personal needs, interests and objectives.
