About Me

I like teaching French in a practical and relaxed way, with a focus on real-life communication rather than learning French from a textbook.

We can work on conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar or simply gaining confidence in everyday situations. I like using authentic materials such as newspapers, TV shows, movies, music, menus, websites and anything else you might actually encounter in France.

As a native of Nice, I can also help you understand the local culture and everyday life here — from ordering at a café or shopping at the market to having a conversation with French people.

Whether you are living in France, planning to move here, or simply want to make the most of your stay, I adapt the lessons to your level, interests and goals.

The idea is simple: learn useful French, have interesting conversations and feel more comfortable using the language in real life.

Education

I have a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Nice – Sophia Antipolis, as well as a Master's degree in Economic and Social Administration (AES).

Experience / Qualifications

I am a freelance web developer working in the tech industry, with more than 10 years of professional experience. I spent five years working as a WordPress developer at Whodunit, a French web agency, before becoming a freelancer.

I also co-founded a small web agency in 2015, after spending six months working in China and one year working in France. Earlier in my career, I worked in the electrical industry, where I was responsible for Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) matters.

Today, alongside my work in web development, I am developing a second professional activity teaching French as a foreign language (FLE) — something I genuinely enjoy.

I am passionate about languages, technology, data and AI, and I particularly enjoy meeting people from different countries and helping them feel more comfortable communicating in French.

With 4 years of speech therapy studies and holder of a diploma in teaching French as a foreign language (DAEFLE), I cultivate a real passion for our language that I would like to pass on to you in order to help you overcome your difficulties.

I offer you a new learning experience.

To the uninitiated, a grammar book seems to be written in another language because the meaning of the words is incomprehensible. In a down-to-earth way, I'll translate the grammar into familiar words. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning while having a positive mindset.

You can book a complete course with regular sessions or individual lessons to overcome a specific problem, such as pronunciation or a particular point in grammar.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.

When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster.

Learning is easy, but unlearning bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible.

My offer is aimed at both teenagers and adults who want to acquire a solid foundation of the Latin language without the time-consuming diversions of absurd school methods.

I offer individual or group lessons for Latin. The methods are based on cognitive science and, in particular, comparative linguistics. My flexible programme can be tailored to your individual needs.

What is particularly important to me:

motivating my students and help them establish a learning rhythm;
encouraging their creativity;
