Bonjour ! I’m Mélanie — a native French teacher (and English too 😄) based in Nice.

I help learners of all levels make real progress in French — without boring or overly academic lessons. My approach is dynamic, personal, and focused on what truly matters to you: speaking naturally, feeling confident, and enjoying the process.

Over the past few years, I’ve guided hundreds of students to excellent results by using creative, interactive methods adapted to their goals — whether that’s improving conversation, preparing for exams, or learning for travel or work.

I also offer “in-context” French lessons, where we can practise French in real situations — at a café, museum, market, or walking through the old town. It’s a fun, immersive way to learn that makes the language come alive.

Each lesson is tailored to your needs, pace, and personality — so you’ll always feel supported and motivated.

French-American professor graduated from Yale in comparative literature. 10 years of experience, more than 300 students followed. Comfortable with professionals as well as children and even babies. With professionals I use my academic and professional background to quickly adapt to the student's requirements (high-level positions in the energy and private banking sectors. Students from all backgrounds including VIPs, university courses in finance and law). With children I use the Cambridge Fun series, enhanced with videos, games and songs. With babies I simply play or go to the park. Preparation for TOEFL, Cambridge, IELTS and TOEIC exams possible.

I am able to give math lessons up to the final year of high school (French curriculum, IB or SAT)

If he is looking for a tutor, I can also help the student work more generally, follow his homework, help him understand all of his subjects and prepare for his tests.

Former executive assistant, organized and rigorous, I help primary and secondary school students regain confidence in their homework (all subjects): method, autonomy and regularity - video lessons.
After more than 20 years spent structuring files, organizing schedules and supporting teams as an executive assistant and then as a freelance administrative consultant, I have chosen to put this same rigor at the service of primary and secondary school students, through homework help.
My role is not to replace teachers, but to help your child better understand their lessons, organize their work and regain confidence: reviewing and reformulating instructions, revisions before tests, writing assistance, methodology (work planning, note-taking, time management), across all subjects.
I draw on my existing tutoring experience to build, session after session, clear materials adapted to each student's level, with real monitoring of progress and regular contact with families.
The sessions take place via videoconference, which allows for great organizational flexibility while maintaining a genuine individual exchange with the student.
