Statistics: Understanding Probability and Data for Intuition Building and Exams.
From 30 C$ /h
Probability & Statistics can be challenging at times. If you're struggling to find the intuition and natural understanding of statistics, we will develop this together. With 7 years of experience in tutoring statistics, I can confidently claim you will leave the session able to explain the concepts to your friends & family, and even back to me.
If you need exam prep or just need to develop an intuition of Stats and/or Probability, I got you!

About Me
I'm a pretty laid-back person in general. I'm 21, and I was in uni not so long ago, so I get how it goes: some weeks you're on top of everything, and some weeks you procrastinate too much and have things pile up. Either way, it's fine. We just pick up where you are and keep moving.
I won't pressure or guilt trip you. If you show up and want to figure something out, I'm happy to walk through it as many times as it takes, no stress about it. I'm patient, I'm easy to talk to, and I'd rather you actually feel comfortable asking the "dumb" questions than sit there confused trying to look like you get it. Anyway, I was the guy who asked too many questions in class, so I guess it's my fate to be met with the same type of students :P
I know statistics and finance pretty well, and I'm good at making them make sense without all the intimidation that usually comes with them. I don't discourage the use of ai in the right contexts, and mostly what we do together is develop intuition not just calculations, because that can be done using Claude in less than 5 seconds.
Mostly I just want sessions to feel easy and low-key, the kind of thing where you leave a bit more confident than you came in.

Education
The American University in Cairo (AUC)
Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science
GPA: 3.76 / 4.0
Completed a rigorous, quantitatively demanding program combining advanced mathematics, statistics, probability theory, and financial modeling with the applied study of risk. Coursework spanned probability and stochastic processes, statistical inference, financial mathematics, derivatives, and the actuarial foundations used to model uncertainty and price risk. Maintained a strong academic record while building the analytical and problem-solving skills that underpin quantitative finance.

Experience / Qualifications
7 Years of Experience Tutoring Statistics & Finance
Over the past seven years, I've helped students at every level build genuine understanding in statistics and finance, from those meeting probability for the first time to university students tackling advanced financial mathematics. My approach centers on turning intimidating material into something intuitive: breaking down complex concepts, connecting them to problems students already know, and building the kind of foundational understanding that holds up under exam pressure and beyond. Across hundreds of sessions, I've learned that no two students learn the same way, and I tailor each session to how the person in front of me actually thinks.
