I evaluate each student's performance based on the established guidelines. Before entering the virtual classroom I source relevant lesson material creating helpful visual aids to manage the students in the activities, allowing easier bite-size information to aid learning of the new language points. I make efficient and effective use of the tools provided to me to write and draw on the material.

I also adhere to the teaching flow: Engagement with the students, introducing the new language focal points, conducting thorough study activities, and activating the new language areas via various fluency activities to achieve the lesson objectives. As I interact with the student, I will correct his pronunciation and grammar. If the student makes a grammar mistake, I will send both the incorrect and correct sentences in the chat box to demonstrate correct usage. By the end of each activity, I will relay back to the student providing positive feedback and encouragement regarding their performance.

I have also completed many training webinars on teaching online and using up-to-date teaching software. I’ve completed various training about different teaching methodologies on how to arouse the student's interest in the class; this has been most valuable for me in my continuous improvement as an online teacher.

About Me

I am an international master student at the University de Neuchatel. I am a positive, detail-oriented, and committed English language teacher.

Since 2016 I have been working for an American company which is the number one online English teaching school in China. I teach English to Chinese adults and children whilst evaluating each student's performance based on the established guidelines. I source relevant lesson materials and create helpful visual aids to manage the students in the activities just like in a regular class at a physical school.

I have completed many training webinars on teaching online and using up-to-date teaching software. I’ve completed various training about different teaching methodologies on how to arouse the student's interest in the class. I have also taught business and technical English to other students using Skype. The students choose the textbook based on their learning needs and I employ the teaching methodology that is the most informative.

I have also attended a 120-hour TESOL qualification course offered by iTTT. Half of the course was focused on the teaching skills that are required in the EFL classroom. The second half focused strongly on teaching theories and methodologies, knowledge of classroom management, organizing lesson plans and finally how to test and evaluate the continued progress of the students.

The key reasons why I love this job is the opportunity to teach and help people of different nations. I always learn something new from them. I am a quick learner and detailed teacher. I graduated from an American high school where all of the courses were conducted entirely in English by American teachers. I had courses such as English Literature, American History and Government, providing a deeper understanding of Western History, Culture, and Traditions. I know you will feel just great in my class.

Hello,

Who am I?
Originally from Val-de-Travers, I finished my bachelor's degree in tourism in Sierre in Valais, my native language is French, but I studied in English since high school (at the age of 15).
I love languages, I love practicing them and I love passing them on because they are so important for your future (travel, careers, meetings, etc.).
