Do you need help feeling more confident in english for work, university or daily life? Or do you need simply to brush up on your english?

I'm a patient, supportive TEFL qualified native english teacher, with 5 years experience teaching full-time in Italy, as well as online on various platforms. One of my passions in life is making people feel comfortable and understood and to help students to relax and open up in English.

During class, I make notes and corrections in a separate document for you to study later, and we work on talking across a vast range of subjects, increasing your vocabulary, grammar, synonyms, fluency and expression across all levels.

A program is made for each student in order to cater to the objectives you may have, while always gently pushing you to more natural expression of the English language.

Extra information

I supply materials and a personalised curriculum on google drive for each student, and you will need a computer in order to follow our lessons.

About Me

Hi, I'm Amelia, a professional TEFL qualified native English teacher.

I'm originally from Australia, now based in Europe: living first for a couple of years in Germany, and have been a full-time english teacher here in Italy for 5 years. I really enjoy teaching and meeting people from around the world and helping them improve their English language skills.
I'm dedicated to helping my students in every way possible, but you don't have to worry, or be shy or intimidated – I'm very relaxed and easy to work with, and great at helping students to open up.
Most of my students are intermediate or advanced, and are either training for their Cambridge or IELTS exams, improving in conversation or taking general english classes to improve their level of English.
I have unlimited materials and strategies to coach you towards your goal, and can assess your current level and what it will take to get you there.

Education

Advanced Diploma taken in PhotoImaging and Photography- Melbourne, Australia.
TEFL 120 hours Certificate in teaching English as a second language, taken with TEFL.org, recognised language certification institute in Britain.

Experience / Qualifications

-5+ years as a full-time English teacher, teaching both at local language schools, a Cambridge Language academy in Naples, Italy, and privately, both in person and online to students around the world and on various online platforms.
-Experience in preparation - specifically IELTS and Cambridge exams.
-Corrections and editing of scientific papers for publication and University theses.
-IT-ENG translator in various sectors- business, science, tourism, fiction.
