Swahili is a language that is spoken in East Africa as well as other countries. It is a sweet, beautiful language. Approximately two hundred million people speak Swahili therefore it is very important to learn to speak this language and understand it.

This class is for elementary-aged students who already have an excellent level of English. The core material is a novel which we read together. Each students gets at least one chance per lesson to read aloud for the class from the book. We also learn to sing one song per week and read one poem per week which is related to the story.
