About Me
I enjoy teaching English and Spanish. In college I also studied French and Portuguese but I'm not fluent in those. When I moved to Nagoya I started teaching kids and adults at ECC until I retired in 2019. I wanted to retire young, lol. I often work out at the gym and also go jogging. Near Imaike station there is a JoyJoy and I often go there to play billiards (pool). I love playing pool and listening to music with friends. I like drinking but I don't smoke.
Education
UW-Madison, in Wisconsin, USA. My major was Latin-American Studies, but also studied Spanish literature. At first I wanted to study computer science, so I took several PC courses.
Experience / Qualifications
In the USA I started teaching people how to use computers, before smartphones came out. I did that in Spanish. When I came to Nagoya, I started working at ECC and taught kids and adults.

A little bit about my background...

Currently I’m running a school in Japan and I work as a headteacher.

I have 10 years of teaching experience in both English and Japanese, providing group lessons and private lessons primarily in Japan and Toronto.

I grew up in Japan, therefore, I am fluent in Japanese. Besides English and Japanese, I’m also fluent in Farsi.
After graduating from a Japanese high school, I went to University of Toronto to study Life Science and graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science.
I was hired as a language teacher in one of the language school located in downtown Toronto.

While I was in Toronto, I aimed to provide maximum opportunities for both Japanese and foreign students to share their perspectives and opinions on different topics while understanding cultural, habitual and historical differences.

I have always been eager to learn different language and I had always loved teaching outside of work during my free time, which led me to build my career in education and I have obtained many years of professional teaching experiences over time.

Understanding and applying what a student needs is the key to my student's achievements and success, therefore, I will make sure to provide my students an excellent platform for enhancing the quality of their language they’re learning and applying their knowledge to the real-life conversations.
