It today's day and age, languages and communication play an essential part in our lives. They broaden ones horizons, stimulate the brain and can increase memory.
I'm a native Italian who's English mother and German father have enabled me to fluently speak Italian, German and English, accent-free. Having studied Translation Studies for my Masters In Cardiff, I have gained a strong understanding of language and culture and their relationship with each other.
In my tutoring classes, I will keep the work load light yet abundantly absorbing. Having studied languages most of my life I recognize the importance of "fun" when learning. As children have short attention spams i recognise the importance of keeping a tutoring lesson simple and to the point.
Depending on the pupil, my lessons will mostly focus on simple, every day life language, grammar, issues etc. As well as learning a new language I feel it's important that one also learns of its culture in order to gain a deeper understanding of its structure. Whilst written work will take place, I believe that at a younger age, new linguistic information is more easily digested through conversation. The lessons will entertain both written and oral work with small weekly refresher tests.

About Me
I was born in Siena (Italy) and spent 13 years surrounded by the beautiful Italian countryside before I moved with my Mother and Sister to England. There, I completed my GCSE's, A levels and then went to Cardiff University where I studied Archaeology and Ancient History for my undergrad, and Translation Studies for my Masters. I'm an stereo-typically passionate Italian who's love for history, culture and language has led me to private tutoring where I can share my understanding and knowledge with the younger generations.
Having had private tutors for most of my teenage years, I have a strong understanding of what works and what doesn't work for most people when learning a new language. Most young learners only register and remember approximately 30% of the information they hear within one hour of lesson time. Therefore I intend to keep the lesson workload lighter with slightly larger homework tasks. As much as I used to hate homework when I was learning, I believe that associating one place with "learning" isn't enough. In order to learn a language one must cut out geographical associations in order for it to then become a daily normality. I also believe that learning a new language is aided by necessity and independent learning. Therefore weekly homework tasks will positively increase ones learning speed and capability.
