Spanish class:
I am a student at McGill and I offer Spanish language courses both written and spoken. I can be useful for school exams as well as to deepen this language for other purposes, for example DELE type language certificates.

I lived in Spain for four years during elementary school. I continued to speak Spanish and am certified level C1 in the DELE exam. I have a perfect command of the grammar and vocabulary necessary for a successful secondary school and pre-university studies.

I am French (with a very strong French accent, not Quebec).

About Me
- I am not much older than the students with whom I work and I can thus build a relationship of trust, free from any shame.
- I have not always been immune to academic difficulties; I myself found myself facing my failures during my schooling. So I understand where the problems are and how to fix them.
- Eager to know, I never stop learning about new subjects and I really like sharing it with my students
-As for the courses, I am flexible according to the requests: it can be a question of taking up a particular subject, or an exercise, or perhaps to explore new fields. In particular, I offer homework help and exam preparation.
Education
After graduating from high school in France (high school baccalaureate with honors), I headed to do history at McGill in the Honors program. I am also working on a double minor Maths-Hispanic Studies.
At the same time, I am enrolled at the University of Nanterre in France where I study Art History. I hope to become a professor and researcher in History!
Experience / Qualifications
-I obtained a score of 19/20 in history at the French baccalaureate
-I have a GPA of 3.73 at McGill
-I gave private lessons to several students during the last three years; I did tutoring in my school

I am a second year undergraduate student at McGill University in the Honors History program. I teach methodology as well as content. I have never worked in Quebec, however I did "tutoring" in History for the last three years in France (I have an accent there).
I prefer to work with students in pre-university studies as well as high school students. I try to help students who have major or minor difficulties in the humanities, especially history. We are going over the courses, the methodologies, the assessments and trying to find a more efficient way to learn and retain, which is useful for all disciplines.
I also help those who want to embark on university studies of History by preparing them for the challenges and stages that await them for the baccalaureate.

I offer Spanish conversation workshops, tailored to your needs.

With around ten years of experience, I enjoy supporting people, whether in individual sessions or in small groups, who wish to improve their communication in Spanish, particularly for trips to Spanish-speaking countries.

Most of my clients share similar interests: artists, scientists, social workers, students, activists, and advocates. This generally makes learning enjoyable and enriching.

I also have 8 years of experience assisting teachers in pedagogy, science and sociology with the translation of academic texts and articles from English and French into Spanish.

What I offer you:
- Personalized conversation dialogues, centered on real travel situations.
- Developing conversation topics based on your interests and the places you want to visit.
- Assistance in creating vocabulary sheets adapted to your needs.
- A non-directive and creative approach, aimed at maintaining your interest and facilitating your learning. I offer personalized scenarios and role-plays, based on real-life conversations.
- Historical and cultural references to enrich your knowledge.

For your information, I have also worked as a private tour guide in Mexico, specializing in archaeological sites and the ancestral knowledge of the First Nations, particularly in the south-central region of the country, which has a great ancestral cultural and culinary diversity. For example, the Cd de México route, Puebla, Oaxaca

Meeting places:
I can meet you near the Joliette metro station, or come to your home or a café, depending on your preference.
