About Me
A tailor-made musical journey, at the crossroads of singing and piano 🎶
I am Mélanie, a singing and piano teacher, singer-songwriter and passionate about music since I was 5 years old. My background combines a solid academic training in pop/jazz singing at the University of Montreal, years of practice in classical, pop and jazz piano, and a rich experience in musical creation. These assets make me a versatile teacher, ideal for accompanying aspiring singers and pianists.
Why choose my courses?
✨ A personalized approach: Each student is unique, and I adapt to your needs, your goals and your musical desires. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, I quickly detect your motivations and guide you with kindness to surpass yourself and reveal your full potential.
✨ Learn while having fun: My motto? “Love of music and pleasure above all.” My lessons combine rigor and lightness for an enriching and memorable experience.
✨ A double advantage – singing and piano: As an experienced accompanist, I can help you master the art of accompanying yourself on the piano while singing. Ideal for artists who want to shine on both instruments.
✨ Professional recording: Do you dream of immortalizing your voice or piano performances? My portable studio allows me to offer you recording sessions, whether for pleasure or more ambitious projects.
How is a course going?
Singing lessons (60 minutes)
• 10 minutes: Breathing exercises and muscle tone, essential for solid vocal technique (especially at the beginning).
• 20 minutes: Vocal warm-up and ear training. I guide you with targeted exercises, clear explanations and personalized corrections. You will receive the recordings (mp3) by email to practice at home.
• 30 minutes: Application of techniques in your favorite songs, working on interpretation and expression.
