About Me
I am a French student at the University of Leeds in England, although I am originally from Manchester, England.
I have just finished my year of studies in France and I will be in Montpellier this summer. I have decided to help other people learning foreign languages using my native language.
Unlike some other tutors, I am not a teacher and do not have years of teaching experience. However, I have been learning languages for several years and I understand the difficulties involved.
I believe that an informal and practical approach to language learning is necessary in order to provide the student with good knowledge and the opportunity to practice the language in a way that they will actually use, rather than spending endless hours studying verb conjugation and tenses.
Ideally, I am looking for students who already have some knowledge of English (even if it is enough to say "hello" and order food/drinks) but who want to take the time to improve it, especially for conversation.
As I mentioned, I'm from Manchester in the north of England, which means I have a relatively strong accent (think Jon Snow from Game of Thrones) - however, I speak very clearly and would give you the opportunity to learn with an authentic English accent rather than standard pronunciation.
I am a French student at the University of Leeds in England, but I come from Manchester.
I have just finished my year abroad in France and I will be in Montpellier until the end of the summer and I have decided that I would like to help other language learners with my native language.
Unlike other tutors, I'm not a teacher and I don't have years and years of experience. However, I studied languages for several years, so I understand the problems and needs of learners.
I prefer to use less formal and more practical teaching methods, to provide the learner with a good knowledge of the language and the opportunity to practice the language in a useful way, without many hours of conjugation etc.
Ideally, I am looking for students who have some knowledge of English (even if it is only enough to say Hello or order a drink or a meal) but who want to take the time to improve it.
As I have already mentioned, I am from Manchester in the north of England, so I have quite a strong accent (a bit like Jon Snow from "Game of Thrones") - however I speak clearly and I would also provide you with the opportunity to learn English with a real English accent rather than the standard pronunciation.
