Hello! I'm Maddie, an English teacher, originally from Ireland and certified with the CELTA. I've lived in Spain since 2017 and, over the years, have worked with students of all ages and levels, helping them achieve their English language goals in an effective, personalized, and motivating way.

I offer tailored English classes, both online and in-person. Each lesson is carefully designed according to your needs, interests, and learning style. About Me

I'm a warm and friendly English teacher who enjoys watching my students' language development and confidence grow.

I tailor my teaching to suit each student's unique style, because no two students are the same! Whether you want to perfect your pronunciation, speak more naturally, or feel confident using English in real-life situations, I'm here to support your journey.

Education

I have an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Care & Education. I have a 120-hour TEFL Certificate (2017), a CELTA Certificate (2022) and just recently received my OET (Occupation English Test) Knowledge Badge (2025).

I keep up to date with Cambridge exams through webinars to help my students learn the latest about the exams they wish to take, as well as new techniques and developments in teaching English as a second language.

Spanish is not an easy language to learn, however, it all depends on who is teaching you to make it love it or hate it.
I have been teaching at international schools for almost 20 years, all grades up to adult level and I have experience teaching different curricula (Common Core, British Curriculum, IB, Cambridge, etc).
During my professional journey as a teacher in Qatar, UK, Italy, USA, Egypt, China and Vietnam, I realised that the best way for my students to learn is designing classes with a student centered approach, therefore, my classes are focused on the student's level and abilities, then we will start building from there.
I assign homework after each lesson, but nothing too overwhelming. I am even on call, if you need any help to complete it.

The official exam preparation English course is an educational program designed to help students acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully face and pass official English exams. These exams, such as APTIS, Trinity, Cambridge English and others, are internationally recognized and widely used to assess and certify the level of English language proficiency of non-native students.

The course focuses on developing the four main language skills: listening comprehension, oral expression, reading comprehension and written expression. Students will also receive a solid grammatical foundation and expand their vocabulary to improve their ability to communicate effectively in English.

The course is structured in different modules, each of which addresses a specific aspect of the English language. For example, there may be a module dedicated to grammar, another to vocabulary, another to reading and listening strategies, and so on. Each module will include theoretical lessons, practical exercises, and assessments to measure student progress.

I can teach private Spanish and English classes for anyone who needs it, regardless of age. I have a B2 in English and my level of Spanish is native. I adapt to any situation and I can move around Huelva without problem. I can give my number if necessary and talk about what we want to do in each class.

I teach all primary school subjects, especially English, language and mathematics, but I adapt to any other subject. I help with homework and explained everything that is necessary. I try to do it in a fun and enjoyable way.
