First Spanish lesson: Yes, as weird as it may seem, we have opening question and exclamation marks "¿¡!". See? First lesson done, the rest is as just as easy and fun! I have been tutoring in languages for 8 years, and have covered several ranges. I have a BA in Linguistics and my research career focuses on language acquisition, so I know how your brain works when it is introduced to a new language! More than experience, I believe learning new languages is essential and beautiful, and will give you a unique experience to understand Spanish-speaking cultures. I know how challenging it can be, so I structure my classes in ways that will help maintain your motivation. In my experience, the best outcomes come from (as we say in Spanish) "tirarte a la piscina", which literally means "throwing yourself into the pool". By this I mean I expect you to say anything and everything you can say in Spanish, even if you need to invent 50% or more of what you say. Hearing and trying to speak all the time is what will make you improve fastest. I always try to adapt my classes to your needs and your personality, so feel free to give any constructive feedback! ¡Espero conoceros pronto!

My teaching is technically precise on the one hand, but it also promotes your musical creativity and enthusiasm, for example by making music together. Perhaps you are already playing the violin and would like to switch to the viola to play in the orchestra or in a chamber music ensemble, or you are curious about the somewhat less familiar instrument of the string family. I would like to pass on my passion to you to bring the beauty of the viola closer to the general public. At the end of my pedagogical studies at the ZhdK for instrumental lessons, I am an intern in the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich and an active chamber musician in various ensembles.
