I specialize in tutoring English, Mathematics and Sciences (STEM) for kids as well as Exam Preparation for students (Cambridge Exam, IELTS) and conversational ESL, general, business and academic English for adults.

For students, I like to keep the workload challenging and fun. I prefer not to burden them with homework but I like it when students learn to take the initiative to study on their own.

For adults, we can work on a discussion/conversation-based activity and perhaps even do some writing challenges. I am interested in helping the adults learn to speak better using proper grammar and even improving in pronunciation.

My goal is to promote the languages of the Philippines in Europe, in general and in France, helping future Filipino tourists learn the language before traveling to the Philippines, as well as helping European Filipinos learn the language of their parents.

In this course, we will cover the basics of the Filipino language: pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. Hello! My name is Kate and I am an Australian who is has been living in France since 2019. I am fluent in French and English is obviously my native language.

My educational background: I hold a Masters of Art Therapy from The University of Paris with a major in music therapy, a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with majors in Music and Psychology, and a Diploma of Languages with a major in French from The University of Queensland, Australia.

As a native English speaker my goal is to instill confidence in my students (of all ages) of their ability to speak, use, and understand English. I use a variety of interactive methods including songs, actions, rhymes, books, and music. I am firm believer in 'trying' and as such I will encourage my students to use their English, regardless of how many faults they may make. It is only from making errors, that we can improve! Additionally, I am happy to work on assignments, test preparation, or any other English homework which may need completing. I can provide homework, or extension tasks as required.

My lessons are largely immersion based, and as such I will avoid the use of French, unless an explanation is needed for clarity. I am happy to adapt to the needs of my students.

I have been teaching English in France since 2019.
