I'm a native English speaker, born in London to an English father and a French mother. Having worked as a corporate writer and presenter in New York, Chicago, Paris and London for 25 years, language is my passion, and I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm with you!

While working, I volunteered to help children with their homework and discovered I really like teaching. I realized early on that not everyone learns the same way and finding new creative ways to encourage learning and overcome barriers really inspired me.

Together we can discuss your goals and the best way to achieve them with an individual learning plan. I believe tangible success really is the best way to encourage learning.

About Me

I am a Londoner who has worked as a writer for international companies in New York, Chicago, Paris and London. As a result of my firsthand business experience, I can teach you how to make presentations in English, writer corporate memos, CVs etc. While volunteering in state schools, I also realized not everyone learns the same way. This means there is no cookie-cutter way to teach. Together we can figure out your goals and how I can best help you to achieve them. I believe learning should be structured , supportive and, above all, successful.

Education

University of York MA in Social Studies. Hons. Qualified to teach young children English with the Cambridge University system. Social worker background has taught me to be patience and empathetic.

Experience / Qualifications

Successfully taught children from various backgrounds, some with learning disabilities. International working experience for 25 years as writer and presenter in English means I'm experienced in both English English and American English, spoken and written.
