Maths is a subject in which a lot of students struggle, even I in high school struggled with maths and had to work extremely hard to get to this point.
I provide a lesson or revision on any and all maths topics up till a GCSE level. Alternatively I can provide a basic revision session if there is no specific topic that you want to focus on.

About Me

Learning outside of the classroom is extremely beneficial. It allows for more feedback, learning, and allows for personalised lessons that fit you best for the way you learn.
I have experience working in school and believe one of the most important things I can do is create a positive and fun working environment. I believe if I build a relationship with you we will both be so much more comfortable, and it will give you so much more motivation. My name is Matilda and I'm a Secondary Maths teacher in an outstanding school. Prior to teaching I have 7 years experience in education by being a high level maths teaching assistant and tutoring. I gained my secondary maths PGCE from Manchester metropolitan university and I also have a degree in Economics

I have always believed there is more than one way to teach mathematics which is why I learn about the children and assess how they learn, which enables me to plan series of lessons that suit their needs.

I am available for tutoring immediately. I usually start out by doing some standard questions in the first two sessions, but after I've picked up where my tutee may be struggling (or if they ask me for specific help) I make a personalised timetable of study - which usually includes a manageable amount of extra work.

I am able to tutor Monday - Friday between 8am - 8pm.
I can also accommodate weekend sessions if that suits.
I look forward to helping you out!

I will be teaching mathematics to higher-achieving students, this will require lots of practice and homework as maths is best learned through practice and repetition, I am fully vaccinated and would prefer to teach in person. If a whiteboard is available that would also be ideal.
