Painting & Visual Art for All Levels: From Basics to Experimental
From 51.6 C$ /h
Art is often taught as a set of skills to master, but in this class, we approach it as something much deeper.
Alongside building strong foundations in painting and visual art, we focus on developing a multi-sensory understanding of how art works. This means learning not just how to paint, but how to truly see, feel, and interpret textures, colors, forms, and compositions.
Students will explore:
- Traditional techniques across materials such as watercolor, acrylic, and oil
- Sketching and intuitive drawing to strengthen observation and free expression
- Observation of nature, light, and everyday surroundings as sources of inspiration
- The relationship between texture, movement, and emotion in visual expression
- Arts and crafts practices, encouraging hands-on creativity and material exploration
- Introduction to traditional Indian art forms, including Madhubani, Warli, and Mehndi (henna) design.
Each lesson is adapted to the individual, whether you are a beginner discovering art for the first time or someone looking to deepen your existing practice.
The aim is to help you develop a more intimate and intuitive connection with your work.
Classes are open to all ages and levels, and can be tailored to suit personal goals, pace, and interests.

Extra information
Please bring your own basic art supplies. If you’re unsure what to get, I’m happy to guide you based on your interests and level.
For beginners, a simple starter set is enough:
Sketchbook or drawing paper
Pencils and eraser
Basic paints (watercolor, acrylic, or any preferred medium)
Brushes and a water container
More advanced students are welcome to bring their preferred materials.
Classes are relaxed and adaptable, there is no pressure to have perfect materials or prior experience. We will work with what you have and gradually build your practice.
If you have specific interests (for example, sketching, expressive painting, or traditional forms like Madhubani or Warli), feel free to mention them in advance so I can tailor the session.

About Me
I hold a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from India, and I have extensive experience teaching art to school students across different age groups and learning levels.
Currently, I am pursuing my second Master’s in Culture and Change at Malmö University, which has significantly shaped the way I understand art, not just as a practice of making, but as something deeply connected to society, human behavior, and cognitive development. This has helped me see how perception, emotion, and learning are formed, and how art can become a tool for awareness and reflection.
My training is rooted in traditional academic art methods, giving me a strong foundation in technique, observation, and material practice. However, my current artistic direction moves beyond only structured learning. My practice is focused on the subtle, often unspoken aspects of experience, the small, unformulated moments that are difficult to express in words but can be sensed, observed, and felt through art.
In my teaching, I try to bring these two worlds together: structured understanding and intuitive exploration. I guide students to break down technical concepts logically while also encouraging them to engage with art through curiosity, presence, and sensory awareness. This includes observation, reflection, and at times a meditative approach to seeing and making.
My goal is to help students not only learn how to create art, but to develop a deeper way of perceiving, where thinking, feeling, and making are all part of the same process.
