Graduated from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid with a degree in Journalism. She worked as a reporter for the National Agency of News EFE and for the radio channel COPE amongst other companies. She changed her profession in 1998 after having taught Spanish in Oregon, in the United States. During the last years she has specialized in teaching Spanish and she has a long experience as a teacher of Health Spanish, Spanish for DELE,training for teachers of Spanish as a foreign language and Spanish for companies. She is co-author of Emergency: Spanish for Medical Professionals.

I am a Spanish native teacher, with extensive experience teaching Spanish to foreign students at from primary and secondary levels and higher education. I have taught American and UK students over the last seven years, whilst pursuing my studies in Spain and in the United Kingdom. I was recently awarded my PhD, through which I learnt methodological aspects of teaching different types of public from different backgrounds.

My classes are dynamic and centred on the student's progress, carrying out different interactive activities, role-playing and exercises that will make the student increase his/her confidence with the use of Spanish, whilst learning grammar and vocabulary. I usually give the students the opportunity to send me writings that I correct at home, and I recommend listening activities that will help the student to improve his/her understanding of the language during lessons. My complete proficiency of the English language makes it easier for the student to ask specific questions or to understand how some expressions work in Spanish, having my English explanation at hand (in order to make them fully understand the most difficult aspect of Spanish).

I hold a Master's degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language and another in International Education and Bilingualism. I am also an IB teaching certified professional. I am currently a PhD candidate in Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching.
