How did I start to teach Chinese in the Netherlands? It's all about helping a Dutch friend who wanted to have his first trip to China in 2009. I gave him 3 weeks of survival language training. When he came back from China, he told me the trip was successful, and his limited Chinese words and sentences made a distinguished contribution to his trip. I also found that I have a talent for teaching Chinese and sharing culture with people. However, for myself, the most exciting point is that I got a new perspective to think and study my mother tongue and culture.

To improve my teaching skills, I went to a Chinese school in Almere to learn how other teachers teaching. As well I also completed some online courses. I have participated in some sinologists' lectures and classes. I also take any chances to have the courses in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages when I go to China. As long as I work and study in this field, I feel I was born for it. This is my word, also words are from some of my learners.
