About Me
Hello, Ms. Mwango here! I am a computer scientist by profession. I live in Lusaka, Zambia, and I am both an online and a physical tutor. I teach Information, Communication and Technology (ICT). I have broad experience teaching ICT in many different international schools for over 3 years. I have taught students all aspects of ICT, including AI and robotics. I specialize in artificial intelligence and networking, teaching young students how they can become tech-global change-makers. It has been my passion, and I am confident that I am the best teacher to help students who are willing to learn anything concerning ICT in any field.
Education
I obtained my bachelor's degree in Computer Science at DMI-ST Eugene University and graduated with a 3.9 GPA (merit). I have earned other certificates in Project Management, Global Changemaker, Digital Literacy instruction, and the Coding Knight course. I was trained by the Algorithmics International School of Programming team in Russia, where I qualified to teach kids aged 5 to 17.
Experience / Qualifications
My experience in teaching is over 3 years; this year will be my fourth year. My teaching experience began at Algorithmics International School of Programming in Zambia. Later, I moved to Anvil Coding Academy, and I am currently working at The Learning Ladder International School as an IT instructor. My passion for teaching students has been growing, and I always ensure my students receive the best information that they can apply in real-world scenarios to solve real-life problems. I personally developed an AI breast cancer system that later evolved into a mobile app. This was motivated by the rising rate of breast cancer in my country, Zambia, and the unfortunate deaths it causes; a system like mine could help reduce cases. In my spare time, I work at Afrocentec as a software developer so I can keep my skills sharp, and I also engage in different programs that foster networking and problem-solving. Last year I was awarded a certificate for volunteering at the Mozilla Firefox Festival held in my country. My goal is to continue gaining knowledge and sharing it with young students so they can help make the world a more habitable place, even in the near future.
