Since the age of 8, I have been exploring the world of music, particularly the flute. I took flute lessons at the Niedermeyer Conservatoire in Issy Les Moulineaux for 10 years and I was a flautist of the junior symphony orchestra for 5 years.

Fascinated by the flute, I joined music competitions, such as "Prodiges" in Paris, obtaining a distinction (18/20) in 2018. I also took part in a music Masterclass at UDELM (Lions of Music Summer University) in Embrun (High-Alps - 05 France) in 2016.

I offer flute lessons for all ages and skill levels:
• Beginners: Focus on breathing and sound production, progressing over a few weeks or months.
• Intermediate players: Work on pieces suited to your level to refine technique and reach an advanced standard.
• Advanced players: Develop precision and technics in each music sheet. Explore tempo variations and deepen musical interpretation through nuances.

My teaching approach is unique and puts students at ease from the very beginning of the lesson:
Step 1- Each session begins with relaxation exercises using breathing to promote concentration and letting go.
Step 2- Next, I explain the lesson plan, including exercises and pieces to play according to the student's level.
Step 3- At the very end of the lesson, we review what we've done and sometimes do a surprise activity, such as playing a musical duet together. My lessons are dynamic, creative and focused on the individual progress of each student.

About Me

Hello,

my name is Coline, and I am a highly skilled flute player (over 11 years of experience playing the flute). The lessons I give are aimed at flute players of all levels and ages.

TEACHING METHODS
I have a rather unique teaching style that really puts students at ease from the very beginning of the lesson. I previously taught a young girl for a year, then taught several other beginner-level children, and everything went very well.

Each lesson begins with a ‘relaxation’ method, with simple breathing exercises to help the student relax and feel determined to work towards the lesson's objective. Next, I explain what we will be doing in the lesson, including technical exercises and examples of pieces to play. At the end of the lesson, I review what we have covered and give homework for the next lesson. My goal is to ensure that the student progresses at their own pace.
