Hello! My name is Zhuoling, but you can just call me Coco.
I studied my bachelor degree at King's College London in English with Film Studies, and currently studying my Masters at London School of Economics and Political Science in Media, Communications and Development.

I have lived in London for about 4 years already, this has allowed me to immerse myself in diverse communities and engage with individuals from all walks of life. As a result, I've developed a deep appreciation for the power of language and culture in fostering connections and understanding. I grew up in Beijing and has been living in Hong Kong for 20 years. I got my Putonghua teaching certificate at Hong Kong Chinese University and has been awarded the first-class grade in the National Putonghua Proficiency Test. I have been teaching Mandarin for over 15 years and have also worked as a Mandarin Chinese curriculum designer and instructor.

My young students are mainly from ISF, CIS, VAS, GSIS, FIS, HKIS, AISHK, Kettett School, Hong Kong Academy, ESF, Hong Kong Japanese School. Besides the IB, I am familiar with IGCSE Chinese, as well as AP Chinese requirements.

My adult courses are carried out in accordance with the HSK levels from Beginner onwards. I am using the good HSK framework, to help students progress milestone by milestone.

I teach any degree of students, so even if you are a beginner, don't worry.

In our first class, I will spend a little time asking about your needs, and what class you want to take, which allows me to find the right materials to make textbooks.

I will design a course according to the needs of the students. Whether it is listening, speaking, or reading, I will make a textbook for you, so you can review it after class, which will make you progress quickly. If you have any questions during class or after class, please feel free to tell me.

In the course of learning, I will use the example sentence instead of the explanation, so that you can clearly know the context in which the sentence can be used.

You will have a textbook for each class, I will also give you homework after class if you want to practice more.

You are also welcome to take a conversation with me. You can talk about any topic you are interested in, which will greatly enhance your conversational skills.

English Literature is a broad and expansive subject area. In this course, we'll cover a range of topics and authors inspired by current exam board recommendations and my own personal must-reads and recommendations as supplementary. Of course, this course is tailored to you, so we can cover any era or author that interests you alongside any preparations for examination.

The course can span all the way from the Medieval to Today in terms of content, and provide a grounding in whichever literature you as a student could need. For anyone looking to sign up, please include the book/books or period you would like to be tutored in.

The geography classes are one-on-one geography tuition, answers to geography questions, checking gaps, and filling in gaps. The specific syllabus can also be developed according to the student's learning situation.

The Mandarin course focuses on learning Mandarin and writing Mandarin and can be used by students of all ages who want to get a high score in the A-level Chinese exam, or take the Chinese Advanced Level Exam, or pass the Chinese Language Proficiency Exam.

As an Animation postgraduate student with over four years of part-time and volunteer teaching experience in Mandarin and Cantonese for kindergarten, primary, and university students, I have developed tailored teaching materials to match each student's interests and proficiency level. For instance, I play Pinyin cards with students, drawing and guessing games, as well as Mandarin songs.
