Acting Technique, Theory, and Audition Preparation
From 111.45 C$ /h
There are many considerations for how one performs - from comprehensive theory and how it manifests to the physical connection between the body and mind. In our lessons we will take an individualised approach; some actors struggle with confidence, others with emotional connections, most with sincere relaxation. For the more cerebral actors, understanding the theory behind the motive helps internalise its necessity. Simplicity is a great form, but only when assumed knowingly.
As for myself, I have 11 years' experience in the field - 7 professionally - spanning theatre, commercials, musical theatre, and dance. I've performed in numerous theatres across the UK (as well as Cyprus) and have been featured in a number of international commercials.

Extra information
For our first lesson I ask you to prepare three things:
1) An understanding of your general expectations
2) A descriptive history of your acting experience (including knowledge of practitioners)
3) A brief list of your favourite pieces of art (not all have to relate to acting/theatre, but most should)
You should always have a pen / pencil, a notebook, and a folder.

About Me
I enjoy working with students individually. No same strategy works equally for two different people, and most of my work is in helping each student find what helps them the most. I have experience in acting and directing, so while I'll be doing some directing during our lessons, I will always have an actors' mindset. As any actor should, I work from within, so that anything that manifests externally is never wrong. As long as you feel what you're doing, it is always the correct course of action. Some things might need tweaking for practical reasons, but the essence always remains, and it is the ability to concoct this essence we will seek to harness.
