I’m a professional actor with more than 15 years of experience on stage and screen. I hold two Bachelor’s degrees (Acting and Dramaturgy), a Master’s in Performing Arts, and a PhD in Theatre.

This 60-minute class is fully personalized. After a free introductory session we identify your exact goals and adapt every lesson accordingly. You can focus on:
• Acting for theatre
• Acting for film
• Voice acting
• Public speaking and presentation skills
• Or general acting technique to build confidence, presence, emotional range and storytelling ability

All classes are taught exclusively in English.
I also offer a specialized preparation package for students applying to acting conservatories or university programmes. This is available as a separate package — feel free to ask me about it once we’ve started working together.

• No special equipment required for online sessions (good internet + quiet space is enough).

About Me

I’m Dan Boldea, a professional actor, playwright, director and writer with more than 15 years of experience in theatre and film. I have performed in dozens of shows in Romania and internationally (including Dubai,Berlin,New York and others), appeared in several films — for example Toni & Friends — and written two books: Playlist: Gândurile unui actor and I Slipped Out of My Skin and Forgot the Way Back (Mi-am ieșit din piele și n-am mai știut cum să intru la loc).
As a teacher I start with a free introductory session so we can understand your real needs and goals. From there every class is adapted: it can focus on acting for theatre, acting for film, voice acting, public speaking, or general performance skills that build presence, confidence and storytelling ability. All classes are taught in English.
I also offer a specialised preparation package for students applying to acting universities or conservatoires — this is available separately and we can discuss it once we start working together.
I enjoy working with curious, motivated students of all levels who want to explore and grow.

• Professional actor with film credits including Toni & Friends (as Baiatul Flamboiant), Trash, An Actor’s Routine and others
• Theatre work: performed in or written over 20 plays, with dozens of performances across Romania and internationally (examples: CTRL+Z, Shadows of You, The Promised Asparagus, Mânui-mi-ai viața, and more)
• Playwright, director and author of two books
• Theatre Strategy Manager at The Courtyard Playhouse Dubai; former performer at Zabeel Theatre and Teatrul Apropo
• Excellentia Award for academic excellence from Babeș-Bolyai University

Painting, drawing, sculpture, portfolio preparation: any medium you want to explore, we can create a lesson special to you. Bespoke classes designed to help you achieve what you want out of the class.

I'm a practicing Artist with 5 years of teaching experience with all age groups: 4yrs- 88yrs! Originally from London, i am now living and working in Lisbon. I welcome you to join me in my Art Studio in Xabregas and learn new ways to develop your creative techniques and english language with a native. Any level and any age welcome.

Children's classes can be modified to help with homework or special topics listed in their school's curriculum.

Please bring your preferred materials to the class or I can supply at a small extra cost. We can discuss what you might like to experiment with during the lessons or prior to your classes.
