About Me

I love the language and the door it can open to another culture; the similarities and differences are a joy to discover. I was determined that my own children would learn French, so they went to a French school even though they live in the United States! The fact that they are bilingual has been a huge advantage.
I love teaching, I'm enthusiastic, patient, and have a good sense of humor. My teaching style is flexible and adapts to my students' needs. Learning a language should be fun and productive, and I want my students to always leave the lesson feeling like they've made progress.
I use a variety of resources and never rely on a single book. I like to use material that is current and relevant to a student's life. I might use stories or songs, newspapers, idioms, etc.
I have taught in Japan and London, where I met students of all nationalities and backgrounds. I learned a great deal. More recently, I taught at a large school to students aged 11 to 18.
I now live in France, a dream come true, and I continue my own journey into the French language and culture.
