I offer piano lessons at your home for intermediate and advanced levels in English. The music theory and harmony lessons are integrated into the course, if necessary, for better music understanding and therefore ability to express oneself.
I have been teaching from young students to adults in various levels, from beginners to young professionals for 15 years. My teaching is based on my own experiences as a student, fellow teacher of musicians of the highest level and performer.
Lessons are adapted to student's wishes and needs.

About Me

I'm Latvian pianist currently based in Lille with rich performing experience as soloist, accompanist and chamber musician on worldwide stages and a prize winner of numerous international competitions.

Education

I earned my Bachelor and Master degree in Piano Performance from Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of music (Riga, Latvia) and enriched my experience in a traineeship of piano accompaniment in Royal Conservatory of Brussels.

I have been teaching for the past 15 years in various levels, from beginners (children and adults) till young professionals. They have successfully participated in concerts, festivals and competitions.

I was born visually impaired and cannot read music. I know music theory, but it is of no use to me when I have a score in front of me because I cannot see what is written on it.
That being said, I have been composing and giving piano lessons for 10 years now and I am a member of SACEM.

I know pianos well since I started tuning and repairing them before realizing that I actually preferred playing on them...
A very important point for me is to make music accessible, we say "play music". You have to enjoy yourself from the first notes otherwise it's pointless! Pleasure is a driving force no matter the field, if you play the piano just to say play, it's pointless. In my case I still have as much fun as when I started and I'm keen to pass on this passion!

A pianist since childhood, I have explored classical music as well as jazz and pop/rock, always looking for new ways to learn and share.

In high school, I co-founded the group The Trickery with Mohammed Belkhir, aka MB14, now an internationally renowned beatboxer (finalist of The Voice, semi-finalist of Britain's Got Talent, actor in Tenor and Cat's Eyes, nominated for the César Revelations 2023).

After studying musicology at Charles de Gaulle University, I co-founded the alternative rock band Silent Elephant. As singer, keyboardist, and composer, we were finalists on Star's Music, signed with the label Unkind Music, and recorded two studio EPs. Our second album, supported by the professional Tour de Chauffe program, was ranked in the top 100 independent albums and EPs of 2016 by critic Adam Marx.

In addition to piano and singing, I'm experimenting with computer music.

My Harry Potter remix has notably surpassed 200,000 views on the Internet.

Today, my ambition is to pass on this passion: to share the musical experience, awaken creativity, and take each student on their own musical journey, whether it be classical piano, jazz, or pop-rock. My approach is informed by both my artistic background and the latest pedagogical research, resulting in patient, rigorous, and deeply human instruction.
