About Me

Sharing music has always been my passion. I've been doing it since 2008, and I've always loved helping my students either become good musicians or at least get started with the instrument. I can only encourage anyone who’s even briefly considered trying the instrument to get a teacher (whether it’s me or not), regardless of age, prior experience, or talent.

Guitarist for more than 20 years and teacher of music and guitar for over 10 years, I taught in a dozen institutions in Liège and elsewhere (Small conservatory of the Walloon Brabant, various non-profit organizations and youth centers ... ) in very varied styles (Classical, Jazz, Flamenco, Latin music, Funk, Rock, Metal ...).
I have a great stage experience in Belgium and abroad (a few hundred concerts) with different projects (Taxidi, Montenero ...)
I am also a composer for the cinema, I composed for a 20 of films, short and feature films, TV series and nominated plays and awarded in the biggest international festivals (Magrittes, Cannes, Toronto ...).

I focus my lessons on the practice of the instrument, without solfeggio at first, I pay particular attention to the musical and intellectual development of the student that I push to develop his own style according to his desires and his personal evolution. I also give great importance to the body, the position to allow the student to play freely without tension.
Then, if the student wishes, I push him to learn music theory, harmony, composition and improvisation as well as different styles of games and techniques left hands / right hand (classical, jazz, flamenco, rock, metal, ..).
We develop together with the students a game of his own and give him the tools that will allow him if he wants to become a professional musician.

I propose a program according to the desires and objectives of the student. The idea here is to support the student in order for him to become independent. And using rock, pop, blues, jazz, etc., as a medium, it all depends on the student's musical tastes.

Graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Liège, I offer you an accompanying guitar lesson.

You will be able to learn all the most common chords, some more complex notions of jazz harmony as well as many different rhythms allowing you to play many songs.

Besides my classical training, I participate in several projects including reggae with the artist Ziza Youssouf but also a personal project called Simon Toucour.

I have been a musician for almost 20 years, multi-instrumentalist, composer and music teacher.
I give drum lessons (all levels) and guitar and bass lessons, beginner and intermediate level.
We start from your desires (learn a piece, learn theory, know how to improvise, discover different styles of music and games, work on techniques, etc.), it all depends on your desires and your motivation. Nothing is obligatory and the goal is above all to learn with pleasure!

This course is aimed at future guitarists and musicians. The objective of this course is to learn how to play the guitar without having theoretical knowledge, as well as to learn music theory, how to read a score, the notes and know the basic notions that make up music, you will learn a variety of tapping techniques for the guitar, how to play musical pieces, I practice the Spanish theme. During my teaching lessons, the emphasis is placed on:

- guitar posture, technique and sound
- timing and rhythmic feeling
- the accompaniment and grooves
- interpretation
- music theory and knowledge
- improvisation
- the directory (student's wishlist)
The study material is made in three dimensions: scores, tutorials and coaching.
After agreeing with the student on the pieces / songs to work on, the corresponding score is shared and given to the class. I go through it, and I also play it live to the student for even more accessibility. And then I explain what needs to be clarified to prepare the homework. If you are an absolute beginner, don't worry, I will be with you, and step by step you will learn to play the guitar and know how to read musical notes to tell you my 5 year old brother is able to play the guitar.
