About Me
Nice to meet you, I'm Nicolas, I'm...
Passionate actor and teacher, graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Bachelor's and Master's degrees) in Theatre and Speech Arts and qualified teacher (ESAHR, secondary, higher education).
I started theatre at the age of 5, I spent among other things 10 years at the Royal University Theatre of Liège (TURLG), 5 years at the Grétry Academy, 5 years at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Master and Agrégation).
My artistic background is eclectic, I am curious and like to try my hand at everything (eloquence competitions and prizes, interdisciplinary projects in music - singing, directing, dubbing, puppetry, writing, speech therapy, animation, cinema/short films, cabaret/singing, international theatre, assistant director, etc.).
My teaching career: a three-month replacement in the academy, as a professor of Drama and Declamation, at the Académie Grétry, in Liège (2024): resumption of the drama projects of two adult classes, before the assessment of the first term: intensive rehearsals, detailed work, run-throughs and finalization; organization of the public assessment of the two drama classes; launch of work on two drama projects centered on "Classical Tragedy": choice of plays, exploratory work, staging; launch of the second term work in declamation (training and qualification streams): research and interpretative work.
I have been a theatre teacher at the Beyne-Heusay academy, at the Antoine Vitez Centre (ASBL) and am currently a teacher at the Ampsin academy ("Alliance des Arts" ASBL) and on my own account in the context of annual workshops ("Appulse Créations" ASBL).
Besides the technical aspect, vocal coaching is also a great source of inspiration for me.
After undergoing vocal rehabilitation (speech therapy) which was decisive for the continuation of my artistic career, I make it a point of honor to pass on the wealth of my discoveries to help anyone who wishes to learn more about their vocal instrument, how to take care of it and understand it.
I see pedagogy as active support, a dialogue, helping you to get in touch and go beyond your limits, through drivers such as pleasure, sharing, playfulness and demands.
So, shall we meet soon?
