My goal is to prepare students for a deep understanding of the topics they want to improve by solving exercises together, assigning homework, and explaining the real-life context around mathematical problems to motivate the student. Mathematics is the language of the universe, and like any other language, it takes practice, practice, and practice. I believe that anyone, with enough practice, can master mathematics. I teach mathematics at the high school level (grades 6-12), undergraduate level, and master's level for engineering programs. I have experience in teaching different subjects including - Algebra - Geometry/Trigonometry - Topology - Differential equations - Linear algebra - Numerical calculation - Numerical linear algebra - Analysis - Probability theory and statistics Teaching methodology: 1 - I get to know the student and what he hopes to gain from the courses. 2 - After about 2 sessions, I become familiar with the student's way of thinking, their weaknesses and strengths. Each student has a unique way of thinking and processing information, and based on this, lessons are personalized to meet their respective needs. Note: Prepare your lecture notes or conference materials and send them before our sessions!

I'm 25 years old, born and raised in Paris, and I've been living in Berlin for a year now. I have been learning German and teaching French ever since, and I am currently preparing for a diploma in French as a foreign language. I'm passionate about languages and am always trying to understand their mechanisms and the links between them. I will try to share what I have learnt about French with you (even though French doesn't always make sense!) During a session, I prepare a framework for discussion around a predefined topic. This allows students to practise speaking, learn new vocabulary and, if necessary, review specific grammar points.

Hi everyone! My name is Curragh and I am a guitar teacher from the UK. Learning an instrument is hugely rewarding and a great investment, one that I believe is accessible to anyone. Perhaps you're intrigued by the guitar and want to give it a go... maybe you are a parent looking to relax for an hour and have fun or enrich your child’s development and give them a skill they can enjoy for the rest of their lives. I am a lifelong lover of music with a bachelor's degree in Jazz Guitar from Leeds Conservatoire and a BTEC diploma with distinction in Music Practice. I have played in many different ensembles and have attended the Bath International Guitar Festival in the UK, on a scholarship. My teaching philosophy is that the ears are just as important to train as the hands and I integrate this into my lessons. It is also important to enjoy playing and feel excited by it, however, as this is the best motivator for students! It's how I learned after all... I am happy to teach absolute beginners through to advanced students, ages 7 and up. If you have a particular style of music you are interested in or some favorite songs you've always wanted to learn, we can cover them! If you are more advanced and want to bring your playing to the next level, I can coach you so you develop your unique 'voice' on the instrument and have a technique to burn.

Have you always wanted to learn the piano or enhance your songwriting? Whether you’ve never sat down at a keyboard before or you're an experienced player looking for a bit of a push and some friendly accountability, I'm here to help. My lessons are relaxed, and shaped around the music you actually enjoy. We’ll figure out what you want to play and where you want to go musically, then build the practical skills and good habits to get you there. I’ll offer guidance, encouragement, and accountability while helping you become more confident and independent as a musician. Our first lesson is a chance to chat about your experience, interests, and goals. From there, we’ll create a plan that fits where you are now and helps you move toward the music you want to make. All ages and experience levels are welcome! Testimonials: "I've been studying with Dominic for a few years now, and my understanding of jazz harmony has grown massively over that time. He has a great way of adapting lessons to what I'm most curious about, always picking tunes and topics that keep me engaged. On top of that, he's incredibly patient, even when I show up completely unprepared. Lessons with him never feel like a chore, they feel like music." "With Dominic, I’ve really discovered my love for jazz and have gone from almost nothing to a solid level of improvisation. I’m enjoying it a lot!" "I started learning piano with Dominic as an absolute beginner and have not regretted it. Dominic is a very supportive and inspiring teacher! He takes the time to understand my process and interests, and then creatively guides my learning in a very personalised way. I always leave the piano classes with a joyful spring in my step. Dominic has helped me to unlock my creativity and I am really grateful for that!" "It's been such a pleasure to pick up piano at an older age with Dom. He's super knowledgeable, extremely patient, adapts lessons to your interests, encouraging and just really great to learn from. I would - and already do - recommend him to everyone." Lessons can include: Songs - Develop your repertoire Songs are at the heart of musical practice, and while I have many tunes I can recommend, I'm also very happy to base our lessons on your favourite songs. We can learn any song together. Technique - Exercises, Scales and Chord Voicings We will supplement our work on songs with scales, exercises, and proper technique, to help you build a solid foundation that will make learning new songs or playing with others that much easier. I'll also help you develop a working knowledge of chord voicings that will enrich your playing Harmony & Theory - Develop Musical Understanding We will delve into harmony and music theory as we go. Developing understanding of concepts as they come up in the songs we work on together. Improvisation - Learn to improvise & play by ear Discover the joy of improvisation and unleash your creativity. Lessons will have an emphasis on learning and playing by ear and I'll share some tools and approaches for developing your own improvisational style. Rhythm - Cultivate a strong rhythmic foundation. I'll show you how to improve your rhythm, step-by-step. You can cultivate a solid internal sense of time and groove through exercises that will eventually make rhythmic mastery feel effortless. And more... Lessons are often an organic conversation between the two of us and I'm always happy to explore other topics as they come up...

With his teaching style, he creates a wonderful working and learning atmosphere in which I come out of class motivated every time. He conveys structure, explains connections and a certain logic in terms of grammar. He is excellently able to adjust to the respective level of the student. He quickly recognized my weaknesses, which he specifically focuses on. What more could you want? Bright Toby is an excellent English teacher. I wanted to focus on my pronunciation and accent. He patiently worked together with me using various methods. I loved so much how he taught me English. And I started hearing from multiple friends that my English had improved. Significantly! These compliments made my days :) I would be pleased to recommend him. Hanna S. Toby can explain things very well and understandably, is patient and friendly and easily adapts to the level of the student Peggy B. Toby is very patient and very pleasant, our first exchanges are very positive

Chill and fun Chinese (mandarin) lessons for anyone who's: interested in the language itself, or the beautiful culture behind, or conversation sessions... anything related to Chinese, culture and calligraphy! Apart from English (which will be my main teaching language, unless you speak quite fluent Chinese already, in that case no English for you), I also speak German (~B2) and Italian (~A2) *Important: I'm more oriented in the culture part, since I myself am a big history nerd and have passion for literature and linguistics. However I'm NOT a HSK teacher or exam tutor of any sort. I'll be more than happy to help but I'm probably not the best person to go to if you would like to take HSK tests.* *Another important thing: it's gonna be fun so get ready and don't be shy! language is fun <3 * Please write something about yourself in the message, be gentle and nice, thank you and looking forward to hearing from y'all :)
