I have been working as a teacher and a tutor since I finished my degree in 2003. More than teaching, I like sharing experiences.
- Being a native and very interested in Cultures in general, I know a lot about mine. It is very interesting to bring some historical and cultural elements to classes that help my students understand better the Portuguese way and at the same time learn the reason why certain expressions or constructions are used.
- Living in the countryside allows me to go for long walks among trees and bird singing or by the beach, which is a few miles away, help me to keep fit: body and mind. I am a very calm and patient person, a requirement, in my opinion, to be a good teacher.
- My favorite hobby is photography. I am very privileged for living in a country in which sun pays us a visit almost every day. Sunsets and landscapes are my favorite.

About Me
I like sharing my experiences in a calm and relaxed way. Although I consider myself a very professional person, I don't like to take things very seriously. I try to make my classes as light as possible, because I believe that we learn more by doing things with a joke or a small story every now and then. My language has a lot of rules but it also has, in certain areas of the grammar, as well as in other aspects of our culture, many exceptions. So I prefer to explain contexts rather than rules. I use books that go from A1 to C2 levels and I complement my classes with extra personalized material bearing in mind my students' needs and requests. I am a very calm and patient person,a requirement, in my opinion, to be a good teacher. As hobby I love photography. I am very privileged for living in a country in which we have sunny days all year round. My favourite: Nature landscapes.

Experience / Qualifications
Fifteen years of experience as a tutor and 6 years experience as a teacher in classroom environment. I teach Portuguese and English to Portuguese students, as well as History, Geography and Portuguese Language and Culture to everyone who wants to learn about the Portuguese way.
