I hold two Master’s degrees: one in Applied Mathematics and another in Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Simulation.

I have many years of experience teaching Mathematics and Mechanics at different levels, including GCSE, A-level, and university courses.

My lessons are designed around each student’s needs and goals. I can help students prepare for GCSEs, A-levels, university exams, or entrance to top universities such as Oxford and Cambridge. Lessons usually last between 1 and 2 hours.

My lesson fees reflect my experience and the personalised support I provide. However, I understand that every student’s financial situation is different. If cost is a concern, I am happy to discuss flexible options.

The lesson fee also includes preparation and follow-up work, such as creating worksheets, preparing mock exams, and reviewing progress to help each student improve effectively.

I am a maths graduate with a teaching qualification,and full DRB.
In a former career, I saw how much trouble my favourite subject caused so many.
I teach secondary maths up to age 18
My full time teaching career was largely involved with those that had failed at school or had little schooling
My passion is to overcome the low esteem and fear many students feel regarding maths. I want them all to develop a positive attitude to it and to succeed. For those already enjoying maths, I aim to develop their skills to the maximum.
I teach very much to the individual using a wide range of methods, physical and electronic resources and websites.
I aim to make maths fun and to break down complicated processes in a way that the student can understand
My students always increase in confidence and usually improve by at least two grades. Some GCSE students have ended up doing A level to the great surprise of them and their parents.

I have experience in tutoring Mathematics to students from Years 7 and 8, and also have worked with pupils in a primary school. I attended training sessions to find the easiest way for young students to wrap their minds around Mathematical functions and hence I am confident in enabling the young ones to find the easiest method to work with. I achieved a Grade 9 at GCSE for both English Language and English Literature. Furthermore, I achieved a Grade 8 at GCSE Mathematics and continued to take it at A Level. My goal is to help students to identify the areas that they struggle with and support them until they are confident to handle questions instead of being intimidated by it.

In this Maths class, we aim to complete all the topics that cover KS3 for years 7, 8 and 9. We will go according to the pace of each student and within the duration of the class will aim to help run through notes that were taken in class alongside helping the student complete any pending homework for that class.

The topics that will be covered will be according to what they are being taught in their class and these will include the following:

-Algebra
-Shapes, Trigonometry & Angles
-Perimeter, Area & Volume
-Percentages, Fractions & Decimals
-Ratios
-Distance, Speed & Time
-Data Handling

The student must bring their own stationery, a note book to take notes, their class book if they have it, any homeworks that are pending for that class. If the student is joining near an exam term then they must bring any past papers with them that they have.

I have been working as a 1-2-1 tutor for both Maths and English for Keystage 2 since 2008. I try to keep my lessons fun, engaging, and challenging. I can assign homework if this is required or am happy to work through issues during my teaching sessions. I encourage reading for personal pleasure and development.

Please note that I can only teach one subject per session. Other core subjects can also be discussed.

My price includes fuel costs. During Corvid-19 I am happy to arrange other teaching slots minus the cost of fuel to teach via webcam.

I specialise in tutoring Math, English, Science and Piano. Math and Science of which up to GCSE level, English to KS3, and Piano to an intermediate level. Willing to start tutoring Geography as I have a BSc in Ecology, so I do have specialist knowledge and experience.

Pupils will work with given data sets, as well as those they have collected. In order to encourage them to appreciate that data and statistics are all around them (and not just in mathematics), examples should be set in familiar contexts. As such, pupils may look in magazines and brochures, as well as on the internet, to find real-life statistical use.

The study of statistics offers an opportunity to reinforce pupils’ understanding of number, place value and the four operations in the solving of problems. More specifically, graphs, charts and tables may offer useful links to time, fractions, ratio and proportion. It is important that such connections are made explicit, and that pupils have a chance to use statistics in other topic areas as well.

Tutoring for all sciences and maths up to GCSEs. Have achieved AAB in A levels in Maths, Chemistry and Biology and practicing pharmacist. Can help any ability student perform at their best with excellent strategies for exams and futureproofing for university. Currently work as a pharmacist so have plenty of experience in the Maths and Chemistry department.
Currently will be able to teach online on Monday, Saturday and Sunday.
