About Me

Education

I lived and worked for twenty years (2002–2022) in the United Kingdom, which enabled me to acquire a natural command of the English language, comparable to that of a native speaker. Before my departure, I followed the Continuing Education Programme at Palacký University in Olomouc, which enabled me to obtain the minimum teaching requirement.
Subsequently, in England, I continually improved my language skills and obtained numerous certifications, including the Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE – CEFR C2 Proficiency), the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE – CEFR C1 Advanced, ESOL Level 2), the AQA GCSE English Language Higher Tier, and the City & Guilds Level 2 Certificates, among others.

Experience / Qualifications

I offer individual, group, corporate, and online English lessons, as well as conversation practice, interpretation services, and language coaching. In addition to my private lessons, I also teach at companies in the Zlín area of the Czech Republic, such as Business Logic, Lapp Kabel, Monet +, Baťa, ITC, HSA, Trimill, NTS Prometal, and many others.
At the Lingua language school, I also prepare students for the Cambridge B2 (FCE) and C1 (CAE) exams.

I hold an international baccalaureate in English attesting to a perfectly bilingual level of English (C1) obtained following 7 years (middle school + high school) of English lessons at a rate of 8 hours / week.

I am a native English speaker living in Cannes.
In 2010 I obtained my TESOL qualification and since then have enjoyed teaching English as a second language. While in London I taught K-Pop stars; here in Cannes I teach children from as young as 5.

With the beginners - irrespective of age - I tend to start with phonics. A good grasp of phonics enables students to read and spell easier. It is proven that students that have started their English language learning journey with phonics tend to have a better understanding and command of grammar, syntax and language overall than those who did not complete this vital element of the English language. Once completed, I follow the Cambridge English syllabus. IThe Cambridge curriculum and material are interesting, relevant and cater to a variety of ages and levels. In addition, the Cambridge exams and certificates are accepted by many international bodies.

All lessons are customised and adapted in order to correspond to the student's level.
