Hi! I am currently an AI Scientist at a US-based company working on cutting-edge AI applied to molecular biology. This is the topic that won the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry (shared by D. Baker, J. Jumper, D. Hassabis).

Previously, I was a post-doctoral researcher in computational biophysics, machine learning and computational biology at EPFL. I maintain two Python libraries for Topological Data Analysis and pyflagser.

I have previously been a post-doctoral researcher in Mathematical Physics at the University of Bern, where my research was concerned with the interplay between quantum mechanics and Einstein’s theory of general relativity.

I have been teaching at various levels since I was a PhD student at the University of York (UK), and more recently I was part of the cutting-edge educational project Isaac Physics in Physics/Maths/Chemistry at the University of Cambridge.

Here is my teaching experience so far:

- As a PhD student, I taught seminars in several of the undergraduate modules taught by the Department of Mathematics. In total, I have around 500 contact hours of experience in seminar teaching and marking, all of which I have found to be very rewarding.

- As a PhD student, I jointly ran a course for talented high school student wishing to be admitted at high-rank universities, and in particular wishing to pass interviews and the STEP admission paper for entry at Cambridge.

- As part of the Isaac Physics project, I created or helped create some of the online content such as theory pages, problems and books. In particular I helped put together a book on GCSE physics and one on A-level chemistry. Again as part of Isaac Physics, I gave seminars to a variety of high school students and interacted with local teachers to communicate the Isaac Physics philosophy and methodology. I also have some experience giving online YouTube webinars.

- Throughout, I have been offering one-to-one tuition to A-level/IB students, university students and adult casual learners.

I am happy to travel within about 4-5km of my postcode 1008 in Prilly. Alternatively, I can offer webcam lessons.

Patient and passionate, I have solid experience with EHL programs as I myself taught mathematics in AP and Bosc 1. I also have confirmed experience with the mathematics program in business economics at HEIG-VD, having taught for more than 10 years with the book by Jean-Pierre Favre.

My main goals are:
-coaching you on the exercises you need to do that are part of the exam
-remove your math anxiety
-give you the spark of mathematics
And, it works...

As a mother of four student children, aged 18 to 24, I fully understand the specific needs of each one.

Available year-round, I offer personalized support whether you're preparing for the start of the academic year or revising for exams. You can choose between in-person sessions for practical explanations or online lessons from the comfort of your home. Sessions can be scheduled at your convenience, Monday through Sunday, at the following times: 8:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 2:00 PM, and 4:30 PM. Contact me to find a time that works for you.

Private tutoring is always cheaper than repeating a year.

Hello,

I am an EPFL graduate student who has followed and helped more than 50 students to pass their year for maths, physics and chemistry.

Last year I had 4 students who were taking their exams to obtain their federal maturities (private school) and contacted me for regular courses during the year. They all had excellent results in maths and physics. I even have a student who had 6 in her federal math exam..... (she didn't know much before starting lessons with me and now she's a hit!)

If you need help, I offer group and individual lessons in Lausanne (1014) or by zoom (depending on your preference).

I am a student in the 1st year of Master in Applied Mathematics. If you think it's about learning without understanding, you don't have the right method. I could give you the right approaches to understand the material and pass your exams.

During the course I will adapt to your needs, whether it is to review the course, understand / do the exercises or both.

Are you taking your resit exams for the baccalaureate in July or August 2026 after failing in June? Do you want to strengthen one or more subjects before your end-of-summer exams?
That's exactly what I'm proposing!

WHAT WE CAN WORK ON TOGETHER:

-Catching up and catching up on failed chapters
-Review and analysis of the June exam (what went wrong, why, how to correct it)
-Targeted revision with typical maturity-level exercises
-Method: time management, writing, presentation of calculations
-Consolidation before the end-of-summer exams

-> I work with high school students who need targeted, effective and structured support — a real refresher course, exam by exam, concept by concept.

WHO AM I ?
My name is Claire, I am a 3rd year Bachelor student at EPFL (IC Faculty - Computer Science) and I have held a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences since 2021. In 2018, I was admitted to medical school, a very difficult first year covering mathematics, physics, organic chemistry and biology at a very high level of selection, but I decided instead to do EPFL with hindsight on my situation.

I have been giving private lessons since 2018, mainly to high school students, in math and physics. I also have direct experience preparing under pressure for highly selective exams — I know what it's like to have only one chance for a decisive result.

Several of my students have ADHD. I systematically adapt the pace, format, and materials to the individual in front of me.

PRACTICAL DETAILS! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

Maximum availability in July, August and September 2026 — fully flexible schedule during the summer.

Home visits are possible from Morges to Pully (variable rate, no car). Lessons are also available at the Rolex Learning Center, the EPFL library (fixed rate).

Feel free to contact me to arrange an initial appointment or ask any questions.

As we often say, mathematics is the basis of everything in life. We do mathematics every day without knowing it, in driving, we measure the overtaking distance before starting to overtake safely, in the kitchen, our mothers measure the amount of salt to put in each meal. In short, we do mathematics in everyday life without knowing it. I know that it is the subject that scares many students but I tell you the truth it is the simplest subject of all. You just have to know the principles and do a lot of exercises that's all.
English is the international language, everywhere you go in the world you encounter English, so knowing how to speak it is a great asset and helps you move freely around the world without restrictions.

A serious student in high school, I always felt comfortable in school, particularly in math, French, and English. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and have already helped classmates improve in these subjects.

I offer personalized support tailored to each student's needs: reviewing the school curriculum, homework help, test/exam preparation, or simply reinforcing the fundamentals. I adapt my method to each student's pace, with great patience. The goal is for the student to truly understand, not just memorize.

Available this summer and flexible with hours. Feel free to contact me to discuss your child's specific needs.

As a substitute teacher for the Canton of Vaud, I hold a high school diploma (economics option, Auguste Piccard Gymnasium) and have completed two years of studies at HEC UNIL. My classroom teaching experience allows me to effectively support students in their academic progress.

I offer private tutoring in mathematics, economics, French, and English (native speaker), from primary school to high school level. I adapt my teaching methods to each student's pace and needs, with the goal of building confidence and improving academic performance.

Each session is structured around the student's specific needs: reviewing poorly understood concepts, targeted exercises, and preparation for exams and assessments. My goal is to make learning accessible and motivating, highlighting progress made at each stage.

Based in Lausanne, I am available for in-person or video conference meetings, according to your preferences.

I offer private math lessons for all levels, up to (maybe) the second year of university. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from EPFL, I have been an assistant since 2023 in several courses, mainly in analysis and linear algebra. I have also corrected exams for the CMS and MàN programs. At the same time, I participated in the mentoring program as a tutor, a support program for first-year mathematics students. My role was to help them understand the courses, solve exercises, and prepare for exams. The students I followed throughout the year all obtained an average above 5.

My way of teaching would be to explain my point of view, to give concrete examples of application of the results seen in class, to explain the logical progression of the course, to give a proof of the result or sometimes just to make a drawing. I am a student myself, and I understand the difficulty one can have in visualizing concepts, so I am open to criticism and flexible on my way of teaching.
