Scientist working on cutting-edge AI. Prev: researcher at EPFL, PhD in Mathematical Physics. Experience with IB and Cambridge STEP prep.

Hi! I am currently an AI Scientist at a US-based company working on cutting-edge AI applied to molecular biology. This is the topic that won the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry (shared by D. Baker, J. Jumper, D. Hassabis).

Previously, I was a post-doctoral researcher in computational biophysics, machine learning and computational biology at EPFL. I maintain two Python libraries for Topological Data Analysis and pyflagser.

I have previously been a post-doctoral researcher in Mathematical Physics at the University of Bern, where my research was concerned with the interplay between quantum mechanics and Einstein’s theory of general relativity.

I have been teaching at various levels since I was a PhD student at the University of York (UK), and more recently I was part of the cutting-edge educational project Isaac Physics in Physics/Maths/Chemistry at the University of Cambridge.

Here is my teaching experience so far:

- As a PhD student, I taught seminars in several of the undergraduate modules taught by the Department of Mathematics. In total, I have around 500 contact hours of experience in seminar teaching and marking, all of which I have found to be very rewarding.

- As a PhD student, I jointly ran a course for talented high school student wishing to be admitted at high-rank universities, and in particular wishing to pass interviews and the STEP admission paper for entry at Cambridge.

- As part of the Isaac Physics project, I created or helped create some of the online content such as theory pages, problems and books. In particular I helped put together a book on GCSE physics and one on A-level chemistry. Again as part of Isaac Physics, I gave seminars to a variety of high school students and interacted with local teachers to communicate the Isaac Physics philosophy and methodology. I also have some experience giving online YouTube webinars.

- Throughout, I have been offering one-to-one tuition to A-level/IB students, university students and adult casual learners.

I am happy to travel within about 4-5km of my postcode 1008 in Prilly. Alternatively, I can offer webcam lessons.

Hello, I am a professor and also a graduate of EPFL in Chemistry and Molecular Biology. Also having a solid background in applied mathematics, I have been offering mathematics courses at DF level and above for more than 8 years. I have already worked with more than 150 students for these two subjects, and they have obtained excellent results in their matus. The topics often discussed are: - Algebra (1st, 2nd and 3rd degree functions). - Analysis of functions (derivative, optimization and integrals). - Vector and analytical geometry (plane and space). - Complex numbers. - Real sequences (arithmetic and geometry). - Linear algebra. - Statistics and others. I am a very pedagogical and patient person. If you have any difficulties or shortcomings, do not hesitate to contact me. Greetings

EPFL student gives lessons in Maths, Physics, Biology & French
A student at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), I am currently in BA5 in the IC (computer science) faculty. I have been giving private lessons since 2018 in mathematics, physics, chemistry and life sciences. Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences since summer 2021, I completed a 3-month internship in a hospital environment in the psychiatric sector and basic research in neuroscience. I have also been giving private lessons in mathematics and physics for 8th grade students at the gymnasium or in preparation for their maturity for 6 years. Many of my students have an ADHD profile, and I always enjoy adapting to the needs of each person, maintaining DYNAMICS in the course and doing interactive exercises so that the knowledge sinks in better. .. I love teaching, making people understand and seeing that moment of light on the student's face for whom everything becomes clear! Dynamic, I am myself a studious and serious student. I have gone through the challenges and stress of exams and competitions many times. --> My goal is to give you confidence and provide you with the right method to succeed in your course. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ COURSE STRUCTURE ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Notes: Home visits possible from Morges to Pully: variable rates as NOT transported Possible to give the course at Rolex, the EPFL library: FIXED prices. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ --> Possible upgrade. --> Exam preparation. --> Course reviews. --> Review an exam not understood or knowledge not acquired. ATTENTION !!! I AM AVAILABLE THESE WINTER HOLIDAYS AND DURING THE END OF YEAR HOLIDAYS FOR A REFRESHER COURSE OR TO HAVE YOU WORK IN THE ABOVE-MENTIONED SUBJECTS, however I will not have time to teach classes during my next semester ie between February 17th and July 5th. Physics and Chemistry Maths lessons for high school students!
Hello, I am an EPFL graduate student who has followed and helped more than 50 students to pass their year for maths, physics and chemistry. Last year I had 4 students who were taking their exams to obtain their federal maturities (private school) and contacted me for regular courses during the year. They all had excellent results in maths and physics. I even have a student who had 6 in her federal math exam..... (she didn't know much before starting lessons with me and now she's a hit!) If you need help, I offer group and individual lessons in Lausanne (1014) or by zoom (depending on your preference). Individual lesson (1 person) Group lessons (2 people) Group lessons (3 people) Questions or you can already book your first lesson

Biology course - Gymnasium and Bachelor - Sciences / Mathematics / French - 9 to 11th HarmoS
Holder of a Master in Neuroscience from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva and wishing to direct myself towards teaching, I give Biology courses for students at the Gymnasium or in Bachelor. 9 years ago, I started to give tutoring lessons in Mathematics, Sciences and French for the youngest, which allowed me to improve my pedagogy and to better adapt to each student. . I have always had fun teaching and this is what, in part, led me to take the path of teaching. This is also why I still offer my help in these same branches for students from 9 to 11th HarmoS. On the other hand, my years of studies at the Gymnasium in Biology-Chemistry option and my Bachelor of Biology allowed me to have very good knowledge of the subjects taught in Lausanne. I am attentive and attentive, the idea being to find the best possible method of understanding and learning for everyone! Whether for regular or one-off courses, do not hesitate to contact me!
