Student at the end of a master's degree in chemical and biotechnological engineering at EPFL, I aim to convey my interest in science. My goal is to support the student so that he understands his course and is able to do exercises confidently and independently. First, a quick 'inventory' allows learning to be targeted. First, the theory is ironed out. The exercises are then approached in a methodical way. Finally, I am a fanatic of the cards to synthesize the important notions! I am also familiar with the English speaking system (IGCSE) I remain at your disposal for any questions

I place great importance on personalized support, so that the student gains confidence, autonomy, and develops an effective working method.

Learning basic techniques, music theory, improvisation and ear development are part of the training. The saxophone course is personalized depending on whether it is a beginner or an advanced student. Beginner students will learn the solid basics, such as: good posture, good breathing, producing a beautiful sound, scale exercises, reading sheet music, basic rhythmic exercises. We will perform these exercises from different scores, which I can provide if necessary, and at the same time I also try to convey my own experiences. In general, I first show the exercise on my instrument and then let the student try to play it. We often play together. For advanced students, we will learn more complex pieces, more difficult harmonic and rhythmic exercises, thus expanding the limits of the instrument. Classes also include some music theory and history of music during class. I also consider it important to show how one can work effectively alone.

I quickly noticed that the problem often comes from understanding the exercises given rather than the course itself, so here's how I like to proceed: I always start by first making sure that the principle of the course is understood by focusing on the points that block, and then we can start looking at the exercises, given by the teacher, that pose a problem. The goal is that at the end of the rehearsal course, the student has in his hands cards with the different methods used to solve all the possible types of exercises, especially those requested in the exam. I myself take care of preparing these sheets during the rehearsal course in order to summarize all the methods acquired.

Mathematics and physics are an important part for any student in gymnasium maturity that's why I put my time and my knowledge at the service of those who need it. I am studying at the Polytechnic School of Lausanne and know the difficulty of logical and mathematical reasoning, I teach my classes using Barbara Oakley's learning methods, I use pedagogy in my classes and hope for an active response from the 'student in order to be able to get the maximum knowledge from this extra hour-s during the gymnasium, I ask above all the objective of each student before starting whether it is at the will of an exam or to deepen the knowledge acquired, I will make sure that the latter comes out satisfied with the course and can even stay a few minutes if there is a problem, at the end of each course I insist on making a summary of what was seen during the course to confirm that everything has been understood. I await your call, and am delighted to be able to help you.

I am in third year at EPFL and I study in the mechanical engineering section. I am ready to give math and science lessons to motivated students for their success. I already have experience in the field of learning because I am already a student assistant for several courses at EPFL (mathematics and physics). I can travel to all of Lausanne to come and help you. I can adapt to all kinds of learning. I want to see how we can, with the student, do everything possible for his success. We will start by determining what the difficulties are and then practice and make sure that they can be overcome in the most effective way possible. I could give additional exercises but we will especially look at what are the exercises which are asked during the questions and controls to prepare for them in the best possible way.
