I am a qualified French as a foreign language (FFL) teacher with over 20 years experience teaching in International Schools at all levels, from Primary to Secondary. I am a trained French teacher for the International Baccalaureate (IB) program for Ab initio and B levels. I have taught the program for the past 15 years. I am also an examiner for over 10 years. I have also taught IGCSE (International GCSE) students. As a former IB Diploma Coordinator, Middle School and High School principal I have an excellent understanding and ability to tailor a program of learning for students. I have developed an approach to teaching that makes my class fun and interesting. I am well-know amongst my students for creating what they call ‘the joy of learning’.
I tailor the content of the classes to the needs of my students.
We can be doing general conversation, focusing on a point of grammar or practicing vocabulary.
I use AI to provide activities specifically adapted to your individual needs
I create activity booklets in pdf that we use during the course that you can use to practice on your own.

For IB students, I provide past exam papers and IB exam-like AI-created assessment for exam practice and improvement. I am able to support with expert guidance on avoiding pitfalls and scoring easy points.
Finally, I also create more holistic learning experiences, theme-based for ground improvement not necessarily focussed on exams that do however make for excellent preparation for using the language in an authentic or academic context.

I have been teaching students from varied backgrounds and nationalities (British, Japanese, Koreans, Americans, Thai, Spanish, Dutch and so on...) in my 25 years of international school teaching experience.
I am currently based in France after returning from 3 decades of expatriation in Europe and Asia
