About Me

My name is Manel and I am 20 years old. I was born and raised in France and moved to London in 2018. As a French woman, my French is very good: I have obtained a grade of 16/20 in my baccalaureat (French A-Level) and have studied for a year in at Parisian University, before deciding to move to London.

My teaching techniques mostly involve discussions and mini games. I also like to give movies to watch in French (with subtitles), followed by a series of questions on the movie (in French). Through this method, you learn to understand spoken French and recognize the words you have learned. I make my classes entertaining as this approach has proven to be efficient it the past. My teaching method really depends on your level. If you are a beginner, I like to find a new topic everyday, teach you some vocabulary related to it and have a discussion using the new words you learned after that.

I try to make my classes as interactive as possible and will treat you like a friend, not a simple student.

I like to watch films as it was very helpful while learning English, so you should definitely expect to watch some French movies as homework, once your level is high enough :) or if you prefer to listen to music, it works too.

I was born and raised in France and have been living there for the first 18 years of my life. I got very good grades in French throughout my studies and have also assisted a French teacher during her classes.
