Excellent and in-depth piano, composition, theory, music tech lessons for all ages, abilities and styles. Help with musical analysis.

My name is Marat and I am a London-based pianist, musicologist and composer with more than 20 years of experience. I am also a dedicated and experienced piano, composition, music theory and music technology tutor offering excellent and in-depth tuition for any age or ability. I have been teaching extensively in schools and privately, and giving lectures at universities. I would be happy to share my passion and enthusiasm for music with you! My musical path started at Moscow Jurgenson Music School in Russia at the age of 7 where I took my first piano and music theory lessons. After 8 years of full-time studying I graduated with distinction. In 2015, I graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London specialising in classical and contemporary performance (under Andrew Zolinsky) and music education. Recently, I have completed my masters programme at Goldsmiths, University of London specialising in contemporary musicology (under Keith Potter) and music management. Since 2012, I have been performing and premiering contemporary classical music solo or with ensembles at various venues and events, including IKLECTIK, Arebyte Gallery, Sound Festival, Southbank Centre, Cheltenham Music Festival and Teatro Baltazar Dias (Madeira, Portugal). I am a core member of the New Maker Ensemble, a group dedicated to experimenting with various art forms of new music and performance art. I regularly write articles and album reviews about new music. I have given lectures and presentations on new music at various conferences and events, including the Gnesin Contemporary Music Week 2020, 2021 and 2022, the Gnesin Academy and ZIL Culture Centre. And I even have my own podcast about new music. Tuition is open for both online and in-person classes. All ages and abilities welcome: from age 5 to adult learners, beginner to advanced. I teach from my flat in Surrey Quays, but can also travel to my students, in which case a travel fee will be added to the standard rates. I currently offer: - Piano / Composition / Music Theory / Music Technology tuition - ABRSM and Trinity exams preparation - Playing for personal pleasure and learning - Help with musical analysis

🎶🎹 Piano Lessons for children and adults of all levels 🎹🎶

🎶🎹 Piano Lessons for children and adults of all levels 🎹🎶

You will learn how to play the piano or hone your existing skills. Do you want to play your favorite songs and impress your friends? Learn to disassemble complex compositions on your own? Or prepare for admission? We will focus on those aspects that will lead you to the goal as quickly and efficiently as possible. You can take lessons even if: - Never played music before; - You do not know musical notation and are not familiar with the technique of playing the instrument; - Think it's too late for you to learn. Depending on your goals, there will be less or more theory in the course. We will select exercises for you to develop your pianistic technique. What will you learn: 1) Learn to play with two hands: You will immediately learn to play with two hands, and after a few lessons you will see that it is not as difficult as it seems. 2) You will be able to play compositions from memory: You will be able to show off your piano playing skills to your friends in a month, in the classroom you will learn compositions that you are interested in playing. 3) Learn to read music: Music will no longer be an unknown language for you. You will see how all these incomprehensible symbols easily turn into a melody. 4) Develop a sense of rhythm: Practicing the piano develops a sense of rhythm - you can better feel the music. 5) Become happier and more musical: You will be able to express your feelings in a new way. And you will also hear music in a new way - you will be able to distinguish previously imperceptible details in familiar compositions. 6) You will be able to disassemble the compositions yourself: You will be able to disassemble the notes yourself and learn the composition you like. Place the right accents and play it.
