Welcome to my online Piano Class. I am Maria Papadatou, and I will happily help you achieve your musical goals, from zero to the top. I love all student levels, but only towards the classical piano, of any eras' works and composers. Don't be afraid, my lesson is human-friendly 😊 Everything goes step by step! Outside the lesson time, I send you short videos when needed, to support your practice through the week. As each student is different, I focus on each ones' needs and I am always creative in helping you learn through the simplest ways - "if it's easy, it's correct", that's my motto! My greatest happiness is to watch my students grow, overcome any limit and expand in full potential! As a result, many of my students have won top prizes at major international competitions, as the IBLA Grand Prize, the Spoleto International Piano Competition, the Bach au Jazz (Lilia Boyadjieva) International Piano Competition and many others. As a Certified teacher on the official RSL Awards Teacher Registry (MusicTeacher.com), I can now offer the RSL Classical Piano programme - a well-established international piano qualification, equivalent in level to ABRSM but with more flexibility. My math classes are primarily focused on helping students with school material they are already struggling with, thus, there is no exact fixed format. I try to gauge precisely what every student's thinking style is in order to ensure a more intuitive and comprehensive approach to material that otherwise looks convoluted at first glance -- some students are fine with traditional methods, but others understand better when concepts are broken down into more basic building blocks (e.g., to subtract 17 from 36, first subtract 20, and then add 3 back to obtain 19). My goal is to find out what cognitive process is at play and work in sync with it to optimize understanding.

This class is for foreigners living in Athens, Greece, that want to learn the basics (and more) of the Greek language for various reasons like business, curiosity to explore the greek language, communicating better with loved ones etc.. You will learn how to understand, listen, read and speak this complicated yet interesting and historic language. I focus a lot on the greek pronunciation and grammar, since those are the sections most foreigners struggle with. Along with the language, you will also learn many ancient greek words, because the modern greek language derives from the ancient greek and the grammar is closely related to it. I started gaining experience by volunteeringly teaching it to my foreign friends and to refugees since I was 16 years old. Former law student, I am currently taking a gap year before studying languages to become a translator or interpreter.
