About Me

I believe that everyone can be great and that everyone is intelligent, yet people are different and each individual has different type of intelligence. People do not learn in only one way and they are stronger in different areas and can demonstrate their knowledge and abilities in different ways.

I have lived in many countries, I have seen different cultures and I have got to know people with different backgrounds and as a project manager I am aware that each project is different from the other one and each project-group has different members with different skills and different experiences.

As an experienced manager and teacher I know how important it is to adjust to each individual differently and not have the "standard" method which in the current world is expected to fit everyone, that is why my teaching style is based on the students needs and I like to make sure that the courses can be fun and motivating ☺️

University English Instructor| Started teaching English 9 years ago| Specializing in Conversational English.

My teaching approach is designed to develop communication skills above all. We watch or read materials, such as videos, articles, stories, poems, caricatures, then discuss them; we act out situations from everyday life; we take positions and practice debates. However, this doesn’t mean that we just practice speaking. I also make sure the learner is not running in circles. I’m here to ensure that they do not keep repeating the same mistakes or keep using the same expressions over and over in conversation.
In order to keep making progress, I take my student on a journey that involves:
• Improving their grammar.
• Fixing their pronunciation.
• Enriching their vocabulary by learning to use new words and common idioms.
By the end of this course, you should be able to speak English fluently and confidently.

PS: Because of my academic specialty, I also help with academic writing and creative writing.

The objective is that: the learner masters the English language (🎧listening-comprehension,🎤 conversation, 📚 reading, grammar-pronunciation, writing...). It helps him to have language skills like native speakers. 🥇

At the same time, the learner will be 🚴‍♀️dynamic and well supervised by professional tutors who listen.
The atmosphere is distinguished: 🔥learning, interaction, no routine, no stress.

The learning tools used; videos, audios, texts, articles, images, games, stories...

We are happy to help both adults and pupils/students. If you want to learn the English language (reading, grammar, oral conversation, written production,...) or you have homework to do, or competitions/tests to take, 🏆 contact us :)

Passionate about chess since childhood and a teacher by profession, I offer online courses aimed primarily at beginner and intermediate players who wish to progress in a structured way while retaining the pleasure of playing.

My goal is not simply to teach you moves or openings to memorize. My main aim is to help you understand why a move is good, how to construct a plan, and how to identify tactical possibilities on the chessboard.

The courses are tailored to your level, age and goals.

Depending on your needs, we can work:
- the rules of the game and the fundamental principles;
- the development of the pieces and the principles of opening;
- tactics: forks, pins, skewers, discovered attacks, typical checkmates;
- the strategy and the construction of a plan;
- the middle of the game;
- the essential finals;
- the calculation of variants;
- time management;
- the analysis of your own games.

An important part of my method involves analyzing the games you've played with you. Together, we look for key moments, mistakes, missed opportunities, and the best alternatives.

For beginners, we progress gradually in order to build good habits from the very first games.

For intermediate players, we can work more specifically on their weaknesses, delve deeper into certain tactical or strategic themes, and analyze their games in detail.

The lessons are interactive: you play, you think, you suggest moves and we analyze the positions together.

Children, teenagers and adults are welcome.

My name is Nicolas, and I'm an English teacher with eight years of teaching experience. I've spoken English since I was a teenager and have continued to practice it through my many travels. My level was further improved during an extended stay in Canada. In 2018, I passed the TEFL Cambridge exam, the English as a Foreign Language Teaching Certificate.

Having also gone through the process of learning to speak this language, I am well aware of the different stages my students go through. This helps considerably.

My courses are custom-built to achieve personal goals and are adapted to the specific needs of each individual.

Practice is prioritized throughout the learning process to foster independence as quickly as possible. Basic grammar and vocabulary concepts are also covered, depending on the student's level.

This course is aimed at:
- Beginners (basics, conversation, travel);
- Intermediate/advanced (improvement, exam preparation: TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC);
- Professionals (business English, interview preparation).

Feel free to contact me for more information.

With pleasure :)

Hello everyone,
My name is Phillip. I am an experienced, native bilingual (USA/Switzerland) English teacher. Today, I am pleased to guide you in your learning from my office located in the wild and inspiring setting of western Ireland.

With many years of experience as a private tutor, I work with students from all backgrounds. However, over time, I have developed an approach that is particularly appreciated by seniors and retirees. Why? Because I am convinced that learning a language at this stage of life should first and foremost be a shared pleasure, a window onto the world, and a wonderful way to keep the mind sharp and curious.
My approach: Trust and kindness above all

Many of us have somewhat rigid memories of school learning. With me, forget the stress of mistakes or tedious grammar. My primary goal is to restore your confidence. We progress at your pace, with a gentle, patient, and personalized teaching approach. Whether you're starting from scratch or simply want to refresh your old school memories, I adapt completely to your needs.

What we can explore together:
- Travel English: So that your next trip abroad is synonymous with serenity (getting around, ordering in restaurants, communicating with locals without apprehension).

-Maintaining family ties: Ideal if you have bilingual grandchildren or grandchildren living abroad and you want to share more with them.

-Conversation & Culture: Discuss current events, literature, history or life in Ireland, while enjoying my clear and easy-to-understand native accent.

-Brain gymnastics: Using English as a fun and stimulating tool to maintain memory and cognitive plasticity.

Why choose me?
As a dual American and Swiss national living in Ireland, I bring a unique cultural richness to your life. I have a mastery of all the nuances of the English language, but I also have a perfect understanding of French culture and structure.

Practical and technological aspects:

We'll work together via Zoom or Google Meet, very simple and reliable tools. If you're worried about the technology, don't be: I'll guide you step by step during our first session so you feel completely comfortable on screen. It's much simpler than it seems!

Join me for a friendly and engaging experience, blending Swiss rigor, American optimism, and the legendary warmth of Ireland. Let's transform your English practice into a truly enriching human adventure.
