Private sewing and styling lessons: at home or in my workshop.

Graduated from La Cambre Mode (s) of a master in fashion and fashion design, I offer private lessons in fashion and / or couture. Strong experience with students of the French high school for the "Evening of Talents", as well as teaching a preparatory course for the entrance examination of La Cambre. Now a private lesson teacher for more than seven years, I have been able to welcome more than fifty different students of all ages, with whom we have discussed: - the basics of sewing and patronage (dress, pants, skirt, shirt, etc.), - the realization of customized models, - the design of a clothing line with a collection plan - or the reproduction of existing models from photos and even costumes of stars! In absolute terms, it is therefore possible to develop a personal project or basic learning. IMPORTANT: If you cancel LESS THAN 24 hours before the course, you will be CHARGED. After two consecutive cancellations, I will no longer be able to provide you with lessons. The courses are given only in my workshop, simply because the equipment is made available to you for the smooth running of the course (except the fabric and haberdashery necessary for your projects). No home lessons possible. The hourly rate is valid for one person, in the case of a course for several people, the rate increases proportionally. No courses possible on weekends.

Design Process in Fashion Designing, is a basic and important process to understand in order to bring your creative ideas to fruition. It ensures a well planned end products and make you meet the final output of a designer and targeted clients. This course will help you open up your creative ideas to plan systematically to get the desired result.

Fashion design is a foundational course that helps people develop their color sense and gain experience in designing clothes. We will draw and take creative liberties to find inspiration, along with reading chapters or books on sewing. As for the Language Arts portion, we will read some novels based on your experience level. We will write short stories, essays, and watch films to help better your writing.

I studied fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. I algo graduated my masters at Nottingham Trent University in England. I received my BA from Central Saint Martins and went on to work at Tom Ford, Phoebe Philo and Maison Givenchy as well as time working freelance over this period I was lucky enough to learn some valuable traits or skills which really help getting that first start at a fashion job or that could prove incredibly helpful during your fashion education. I feel as good as fashion education can be sometimes they have blindspots and don't always completely prepare their students for the realties of industry and I have helped many students to receive interviews and opportunities at companies which they never believed possible for themselves as well a helped to demystify what a career in fashion actually is and how to best prepare for it.
