Academic support classes and bilingual English (C1+/IELTS) with Primary School Teacher (PT) and Psychology

Hello! I'm Lorena, a graduate in Bilingual Primary Education with a specialization in Special Education, and currently finishing my degree in Educational Psychology in Madrid. I have a C1+ level of English (IELTS) and an official qualification as a Leisure Activities Monitor. I offer private lessons and academic support for Primary Education and the first years of Secondary Education, combining curricular teaching with psychoeducational strategies. What areas do we work on in the sessions? Bilingual English: Comprehension, conversation, grammar and vocabulary for bilingual schools (Science) or preparation from scratch. Literacy and reading comprehension: Detection of blocks, fluency and assimilation of mathematical texts and statements. Mathematics and science: Visual and practical explanation, structured calculation and frustration-free problem solving. Study techniques and habits: Weekly planning, outlines, summaries and preparing well in advance for exams. Addressing learning needs: Strategies adapted for ADHD, dyslexia or concentration difficulties from the perspective of Therapeutic Pedagogy. Methodology: In each session, we conduct a brief initial assessment to understand the student's pace, strengths, and areas for improvement. My goal is not only to complete the day's homework but also to teach them how to learn independently, rebuild their confidence in their abilities, and make studying a motivating experience.

“ Miriam is really a pleasant person, i enjoyed my class with her , she started with me from level "-1" :D and she is always patient and eager to teach me, she is also open to contact her at any time apart from our planned sessions. she also encouraged me to play/practice songs i love apart from the course material and simplified the notes to match my level which make me more enthusiastic about learning music. I really learned a lot from her and willing to continue learning violin with Miriam :) ”
