About Me
Hi there,
My name is Lisa, I’m 26 years old and from Luxembourg.
I hold an LLB and an LLM from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and I am currently working as a legal trainee in Luxembourg. Alongside my law studies, I also studied English Literature and Linguistics at the University of Amsterdam.
I am happy to teach beginners to intermediate learners. From my own experience of learning languages abroad , especially during my time in the Netherlands, where I was often afraid to speak Dutch and people would quickly switch to English, I know how important it is to create a comfortable and encouraging learning environment. I strongly believe that the key to learning a language is speaking without fear and feeling free to make mistakes.
While grammatical accuracy is important, I believe it should come after developing confidence in communication. Language is first and foremost about connecting with people, and once communication feels natural, accuracy can be refined step by step. My goal as a tutor is to help students gain confidence, enjoy the learning process, and feel comfortable expressing themselves.
I am looking forward to meeting you!
Best,
Lisa
